They are the ow n room s of th e f a m i l y m e m b e r s o r i g i n a l ly . T h e w h o l e t e a h o u s e i s d e v i d e d i n to 3 i n t e r i o r a r e a a n d t h e b a c k ya r d a r e a . P e o p l e should entered from the main entrance in South which symbolized good in traditional myths. The open wall is in the centre surrounded by the principal rooms and the 3 wings. This arrangement encourage people to gather at the open wall to experience the t e a a nd s tay wi t h t h e i r m a t e s. More from that, it has a semicourtyard which is in a L-shape.

Despite its enclosed structure, the houses has many pairs of openings which allow it to t a k e t h e n a t u r a l s u n l i g h t w e l l . To c o n c l u d e , i t p r e s e n t s h o w t h e s u nlig h t g et i n vo l ve d w i t h t h e vi l l a g e r s live in the Hakka walled building in Xiang Liang Brook. Its neat system with the openings enables the u s e r s to g e t t h e s u n l i g h t w i s e l y a s they controlled. Although it is in an enclosure structure, the large skyline courtyard allows a large amount of sunlight going in. It is also a transition fo r t h e p r i v a t e z o n e to p u b l i c z o n e .

Reflection This project consists of many factual da t a a n d a n a lysis w hich re qu ire d lots of deep study on site and research. It let m e u n d e r s t a n d h ow to t h i n k o f a s p a c e started with a simple element. From t i n y to b i g a n d f r o m n a r r o w to w i d e , we should always think of why and the s to r y b e h i n d a s l i t t l e t h i n g s m a t t e r a lot. The light is an interesting element that can have so much variation which forms, surfaces and materials. The most important is the time.
