Joining together to better partner with children, families and communities.

Akin is the product of the 2024 merger between two of Washington state’s most impactful family services organizations, Childhaven and Children’s Home Society of Washington. This coming together as one is more than a union of two organizations—it's a collaboration that amplifies our impact. We're growing in the depth of our impact, dedicated to directly supporting children, families, and communities across the state.

While our name is changing, what remains constant is our commitment to families, caregivers, parents and children.

Working towards better futures by promoting family health and well-being.

Akin provides over 30 programs and services across five regions in the state of Washington.
