Tell us about your business. SAOR, Gaelic “to be free,” creates pure perfume oils to release the free spirit in all of us. SAOR perfume’s signature bamboo box packaging resonates with our “be free” fragrances. SAOR perfume oils contain no alcohol, no water. Majamas

Tell us about your process for making and creating. I couldn’t find a perfume I liked after traveling across several continents over several years. I discovered a scent in a lotion and took that to a perfumer and voilà! SAOR was my signature scent for 15 years. After being stalked in grocery stores, parking lots and hockey rinks (I love hockey), and people asking “what are you wearing”– in a good way–I decided it was time to bottle up my perfume and SAOR. Name three local makers and brands that you are inspired by and why. Natural Me Beauty, Yasou Skin Care, and Joshe. All these brands are incredible and developed by incredible, empowering women. What is the best advice you’ve ever been given and how has it shaped your business? “Guilt can not change the past, anxiety can not change the future.” It’s my mantra as a mother of 4 too.
