NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT On behalf of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you, and thank you for joining us for the 20172018 season. Since 1954, the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra has shared the exceptional talents of skilled and gifted musicians to sellout crowds – and this year is no exception! The performances we have planned promise to deliver a memorable experience that you are certain to enjoy, highlighted by a celebration of Cheyenne’s 150th anniversary, a Halloween-themed concert, Baroque in the Barn, and many other audience and orchestra favorites. We are excited to offer a tenth concert outside of our traditional repertoire – a family-oriented matinee in conjunction with our October Symphony Spooktacular performance. The family–friendly matinee concept was introduced in our 2016-2017 season as part of our community outreach initiative, and was met with great success. We are thrilled to be able to share the joy of orchestral music with new audiences in addition to our longstanding patrons. The CSO is honored to have Maestro William Intriligator continuing to lead the Orchestra this season. Under his leadership, the Orchestra has pushed boundaries and delivered an outstanding product and experience for our audience. Thank you to William, the musicians, and the staff for your dedication to excellence. We believe that there is an inherent cultural and economic value in a vibrant arts community in Cheyenne and the surrounding areas. In addition to our concert series, we strive to support and grow the appreciation for the arts through our outreach and education programs. As a patron and supporter of the arts in Cheyenne, I would ask and encourage you to share the experience of attending a concert or one of our other events with your friends and family – they are sure to thank you for the introduction. Finally, and most importantly, we would like to thank you, our audience, for your ongoing patronage of the CSO. The delivery of world class orchestral performances would not be possible without your support through ticket sales, gala attendance, annual fund and adopt a musician donations, corporate sponsorships and guest artist underwriters. Your generosity has allowed this remarkable organization to grow and flourish, and will continue to do so for years to come. We look forward to sharing the experience of this extraordinary season with you all!
