Welcome

The 2025/26 season runs from October 2025 to May 2026, bringing leading UK and international orchestras and ensembles to Cheltenham Town Hall and Pittville Pump Room.

This year’s programme features the English Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, celebrated vocal ensemble VOCES8, and the world-renowned Takács Quartet, alongside family favourites The Snowman and The Gruffalo in Concert.

Season discounts are available, including savings on English Symphony Orchestra performances and Cheltenham Music Society events.

Tickets can be collected in advance from Leisure at Cheltenham, from Cheltenham Town Hall 45 minutes before a concert, received electronically, or posted for a £3 fee.

Concert Discounts

English Symphony Orchestra Multi-Concert Discount

Enjoy savings when you book tickets for multiple English Symphony Orchestra performances. Purchase tickets for three to five ESO concerts during the 2025–2026 season to receive an exclusive discount. A minimum of three ESO concerts must be booked for the offer to apply.

Enjoy a special saving when you book tickets for both the English Symphony Orchestra and Czech Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra events. Simply add at least one ticket from each concert to your basket and the discount will be applied automatically.

Book three to five events and enjoy reduced ticket prices. Each ticket will be reduced to £27 or you’ll receive £2.50 off the standard ticket price.*

The bar opens at least one hour before the start of an event and during the interval. For select Main Hall events, the Regency Café is also open, serving a range of hot and cold drinks.

Cheltenham Music Society begins an exciting season with a concert by the wonderful Takács Quartet. Their programme offers four works from the quartet repertoire each in its own way representing a landmark in the musical development and legacy of the composer.

Rachmaninov: 3rd Piano Concerto, 2nd Symphony

Piano: Simon Callaghan

International pianist Simon Callaghan performs Rachmaninov’s passionate 3rd Piano Concerto followed by evocative 2nd Symphony, featuring a haunting clarinet solo. Both works are celebrated classics and audience favorites.

Russell Watson - The Evolution Tour

Join Russell Watson for a celebration of his 25-year career as the UK’s most prolific classical recording artist. Known as The Voice, Russell will be performing some of his best-known tracks and favourite pieces both old and new.

This concert offers a rare chance to hear the renowned a cappella group hailed as “the Rolls-Royce of British ensembles” (The Arts Desk). Celebrating their 20th anniversary, they present favourite pieces from Gibbons to Gershwin, Monteverdi to Nat King Cole, in a rich programme spanning centuries of vocal music.

The Music of Harry Potter by Mystery Ensemble

Immerse yourself in the magical world of music from J.K. Rowling’s beloved fantasy series Harry Potter. The evening features unforgettable soundtracks composed by John Williams and performed by the acclaimed Mystery Ensemble. Expect to hear Hedwig’s Theme, Another story, Professor Umbridge, Hogwarts March plus many more.

Cheltenham Town Hall

A cherished Cheltenham Christmas tradition, the Mozart Symphony Orchestra returns for one day only with The Snowman film and live orchestra, featuring Alice Mackenzie singing ‘Walking in the Air’. Enjoy The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child, with each character brought to life by different orchestral instruments.

Baritone Roderick Williams and pianist Christopher Glynn

reimagine Schubert’s Winterreise as a journey through English song. Set alongside the 24 originals, it features works by Vaughan Williams, Britten, Finzi, Bridge, Judith Weir, Errollyn Wallen and Williams himself, offering a powerful new perspective on this timeless song cycle.

Cheltenham Chamber Orchestra Diamond Anniversary Concert

Cheltenham Chamber Orchestra are marking their Diamond Jubilee Year in 2026 with a special concert under the baton of Toby Purser. The programme will include Arnold’s Serenade for small orchestra, Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending with soloist George Ewart, and Beethoven’s Symphony No 6. The concert is being held in memory of Oliver Goldfinch who was a loyal supporter and friend of the CCO for many years.

Philip Sawyers: Symphony No. 6, A Pastoral Elgar Violin Concerto, Op.61

Elgar’s deeply personal Violin Concerto contrasts with Philip Sawyers’ Sixth Symphony, a heartfelt homage to Beethoven’s Pastoral. Both works reflect pivotal life moments and profound artistic transformation.

This guest orchestra opens with Janáček excerpts, followed by Jennifer Pike performing Bruch’s beloved Violin Concerto. Dvořák’s powerful New World Symphony concludes this concert of timeless audience favourites.

Mendelssohn: Octet in E flat major op.20

The Marmen Quartets team up with award-winning Kleio Quartet for an unforgettable evening featuring Beethoven’s last quartet, Saariaho’s intense 2007 work, and Mendelssohn’s youthful Octet performed by two exciting ensembles.

Schoenberg and Webern’s early works are surprisingly lyrical. Mahler’s Adagietto remains beloved, while Transfigured Night tells a poignant story of love and forgiveness.

Young Musician Concerts in Pittville Pump Room and Cheltenham Town Hall this season are arranged by the Cheltenham Music Festival Society in collaboration with the Cheltenham Trust. Please note, there is a retiring collection to help cover the charge from The Cheltenham Trust for the use of the Pump Room and Cheltenham Town Hall where applicable, pay travel expenses for some of the individual performers.

E-Tickets

We no longer provide printed tickets, helping us to reduce our environmental impact and operate more sustainably.

When you book online, your tickets will be sent directly to your inbox. Subject to availability, e-tickets can also be purchased on the door on the night of the show (card payment only). E-tickets can be shown on your mobile phone or tablet when you arrive at the venue, where they will be scanned. If you prefer, you also have the option to print your tickets at home when booking online.

Digital Wallets

We now offer Digital Passes for events and exhibitions, allowing you to store e-tickets on your mobile device using Apple Wallet (iOS) or Google Wallet (Android). Simply add your pass directly from the confirmation email for quick access when visiting our venues. This helps streamline entry and reduces the need for printed tickets.

Tickets cannot be collected in person on the day of an event, but can be booked online as e-tickets/ print at home. Tickets can also be posted to you for a fee.

Show times listed are start times. Our venues open one hour before an event starts, so why not arrive early and enjoy a drink in one of our event bars?

Available for selected events – please check with us at the time of booking. Concessions are subject to availability and proof of eligibility will be required. Only one concession/offer may apply per ticket.

Parking

There is a Pay and Display car park at Pittville Pump Room and there are several public car parks within walking distance of Cheltenham Town Hall.

Disabled bookings

If you are disabled and/or require a carer to accompany you to an event, please advise customer services at the time of booking. Concessions are available at some events to disabled customers, and complimentary tickets for personal assistants. If you need help with transport or parking, please tell us – if we cannot help, we may be able to put you in touch with someone who can.

We reserve the right to change artists or programmes as necessary.

Latecomers will only be admitted into the auditorium at a convenient break in the performance.
