MESSAGE FROM THE PROVINCIAL OFFICE The Fraser Valley has experienced incredible devastation and damage over the last several months. We have watched in disbelief as the unpredictable weather patterns have wreaked havoc on people’s homes and communities across the region and province. The floods and landslides have damaged homes, killed livestock, and ravaged infrastructure critical for moving goods and services around the province. We were shocked and saddened by the devastation causing many people, including some of our members, to lose their homes and livelihood. Many CHBA member companies have been assisting with evacuation efforts by sending crews to help and lending a hand wherever they can, including individually donating to relief efforts. CHBA BC also contributed to the Abbotsford Flood Relief Fund to help those affected by the devastation. Despite the recent events, CHBA Fraser Valley (CHBA FV) has produced this directory. Selecting a builder, renovator or product supplier is no easy task. That is why the CHBAFV Directory is a must-have resource. Selecting a CHBA member can give you peace of mind knowing that you have chosen a dedicated professional. CHBA members must follow and maintain a code of conduct that promotes professionalism and stay on top of changing trends and innovation. The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of B.C. (CHBA BC) represents over 2,200 member companies across the province on provincial level issues that can affect the industry and home buyers. Our members continuously strive to protect housing affordability and are at the forefront of building technology and innovation changes. CHBA members across the region are a respected resource of information and expertise when governments develop housing policies. For future members, we encourage you to review the Association’s many benefits at all three levels – local, provincial, and national. Membership provides an opportunity to keep abreast of industry developments, education, codes and networking with other professionals in your industry. CHBA BC is also a service organization for licensed energy advisors. Energy advisors provide evaluations and guidance on how to improve the efficiency of your home. In addition, a selection of voluntary programs, including ENERGY STAR®, R-2000 and CHBA’s Net Zero Home Labelling Program, is administered by CHBA BC. Thank you to CHBA Fraser Valley for putting together this vital community resource. We hope you can take advantage of the valuable information inside.
