Mountain Flowers has been inspired by memories of times in Switzerland. The Gaisford family used to own a little wooden chalet in the adorable village of Vercorin in the D’Annivers Valley.

Vercorin is one of five pretty villages which travel along this idylic Swiss valley. Each village has masses of tiny little black lark wood chalets, all huddled close together with narrow paths and streets, and all perched on a very steep hillside.

Summer was Charlotte Gaisford’s favorite time in Switzerland. When the snow had gone it was easy to explore and appreciate the green pastures and delicate apline flowers along the mountain tracks. A sight never forgotten far into the distance were carpets of pretty alpine flowers which would appear even before all the snow had disappeared.

This collection reflects the happy times and beautiful views Charlotte Gaisford remembers when she thinks of her time in the Swiss Alps
