Charlotte Gaisford is an established British fabric and wallpaper designer. A true boutique British brand working from a rural farm in beautiful Northumberland, in the north-east of England.
Charlotte Gaisford’s collections all have a story to tell, from a fabric collection named after her beloved dogs to her late father and his travels and life in Africa.
All the fabrics and wallpaper are digitally printed and printed to order. The turnaround is approximately 10-14 days. All products are printed by the most up to date printing methods and there is no waste, we just print what we sell.
It is easy to order samples from the website and if you want to purchase just send us an email or order direct from the website. Charlotte Gaisford sells her products all over the world.

All the wallpaper is printed to order, and it takes about 14-21 days to come back from the printers.

Minimum order is 1 roll.
Repeat pattern information can be found on the individual product pages on the website. The wallpaper is ‘paste the wall’ it is very easy to use, and you can use any kind of wallpaper paste. The wallpaper is very strong, and it can be used in a bathroom.
Search Google and you can find a wallpaper calculator to check how many rolls of wallpaper you will need.

General information
We do not hold stock, everything is printed to order for you.
Lead times
Fabric is 10-14 days
Wallpaper is 10-14 days
Minimum orders
Fabric is one metre per pattern, we can only order in 50cm increments after that.
Wallpaper is one roll
Samples are available on the website to purchase, please allow 3-4 days for samples to arrive, we do send them via Royal Mail first class. All our samples cost £1.75 each including VAT. Our brochure costs £1.75 and all postage is free anywhere in the UK and The Channel Islands. Shipping for international samples is sent via Royal Mail priority international tracked, we charge a flat fee of european and international orders.
Fabric delivery please allow up to 10-14 days for fabric to be delivered, the delivery time depends on the how busy the printers are and if they run into delays, often it is delivered before 10-14 days. We only know when they are going to deliver when they send us the tracking for the order the day before delivery, we email you as soon as we get the tracking. The printers do not print in order so we can’t give you exact delivery dates.
Wallpaper delivery is 10-14 days and is based on the same circumstances as the fabric deliveries

UK Delivery charges
Fabric 3m and under is sent via courier directly from the printers £10.50 (folded)
Fabric 3.5m and over is sent on a roll direct from the printers via courier £22
Wallpaper 1 roll is sent via courier £10.50
Wallpaper 2+ rolls is sent via a courier £10.50
Do you have a shop?
We are not open to the public and we do not have a shop with displays etc. all the information can be found on the website. Please visit a supplier if you would like to see the fabric or order samples from the website. Please telephone us if you would like any advice.

All the fabric is 100% natural and all our products are digitally printed by the most up to date printing methods
Is the fabric suitable for upholstery?
Our fabric is only suitable for light upholstery, for example an occasional bedroom chair and headboard. We cannot guarantee it for heavy use upholstery because the fabric is dry clean only and cannot be wiped with a damp cloth. It is not a good idea to use the fabric for upholstery if it will be near pets, small children and food.

Does your fabric have a Martindale rub test?
Another reason we cannot recommend our fabric for heavy use upholstery is because we cannot provide a Martindale rub test. This is because the fabric is digitally printed and we would have to provide a separate test for each fabric, it depends how much ink is on the surface, so it makes it impossible for use to provide this information.
Is your fabric fireproof and would I have to get it treated?
The fabric is not fireproof by default. Usually, designers organise to have the fabric treated by a specialist company. If you are a designer and you arrange to have a treatment, we can send it direct to the FR company. If you are wanting to use the fabric for light upholstery and using a company like The Headboard Workshop, they advise using an FR liner under the fabric. It can be the case that the fabric will change colour after it has had an FR treatment so using a liner is a simple solution for this not to happen.
How do I find out the repeat pattern of the fabric and wallpaper?
Every product has its own page on the website which give you all the information you need about the fabric or wallpaper including the pattern repeat.
How do I care for the fabric?
All the fabric is dry clean only and cannot be put in a domestic washing machine or tumble dryer. Please do not wipe the fabric with a damp cloth or scrub the surface.
Do you have end of line remnant fabrics?
No, we only print what we sell so we never have any spare fabrics for sale.
Sustainability
This is very important to us and all our products are 100% natural. We are careful with all our sampling, and we make sure that nothing is wasted and sent to landfill. We recycle all our packaging, boxes and recycle our plastic tubing. As soon as we find an alternative/waterproof method to send rolls of fabric we will use this method.
