The Giving Challenge is an exciting 24-hour online giving event that connects about 700 nonprofit organizations with passionate donors and community members to support diverse causes and create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.
Since 2012, the Giving Challenge has acted as a catalyst for connection and provided more than $75 million in unrestricted funding over eight challenges.

The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation.
10 Charlotte County Churches have come together to raise walls, funds and prayers to build the Kinney family’s forever home. Construction started on January 12th with a Slab Blessing and Wall Raise and we held our Angels in the Attic Ceremony on February 13th. Every Saturday our churches are on the jobsite putting their faith into action by building a safe, secure and affordable home for the Kinneys.
