HSAs are a tax-advantaged savings account that accompany high deductible health plans (HDHP). HDHPs offer lower monthly premiums in exchange for a higher deductible (the amount you pay before insurance kicks in).

Common HSA-expensed items include:

• Copays for prescriptions and office visits

• Crutches

• Dental care

• Hearing Aids

• Prescription medications

• Vision care

• Wheelchair

For a full list of eligible expenses, please go to healthcare.gov.

Annual Check Ups

It’s a good idea to see your doctor regularly at any age.

Having an annual physical is important because it helps prevent and detect potential health issues early

and ensures you stay on track with your overall well-being. Having a primary care physician (PCP) is important because you know your health history and can provide consistent, ongoing care to keep you healthy.

Annual physicals are free by most insurance carriers. This is an opportunity to check up on your overall health and screen for chronic diseases. These can check up on your overall health and screen for chronic diseases. These can include:

• Diabetes

• Heart Disease

• High Blood Pressure

• High Cholesterol

• Prostate & Colon Screenings

• Mammograms

These screenings are free for team members enrolled in the CCC Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC plan, as they are considered preventative.

CONSTRUCTION CORNER

As you may have noticed, the Club is diligently enhancing our campus to reach its utmost potential! The Ross Restoration begins its construction on April 2nd, starting with the practice facilities. We also opened two new buildings on our campus early this year, the Mack Ferguson Golf Facility and the Indoor Tennis Facility.

INDOOR TENNIS FACILITY

On February 28 the tennis community celebrated the Grand Opening of the Indoor Tennis Facility! The new Indoor Tennis Facility has three clay courts along with locker rooms and restrooms.

MACK FERGUSON GOLF FACILITY

On January 17, The Mack Ferguson Golf Facility celebrated it’s grand opening and the legacy of Mack Ferguson. Not only does the facility hold more carts, but it also includes office space, laundry, storage, and more. This is a great enhancement to our golf operations.

ROSS RESTORATION

The Ross Restoration is the name of the restoration of our Golf Course and Practice Facilities. It will blend the historic design of Donald Ross with modern innovations, reinforcing the Club’s dedication to preserving legacy while adapting to the needs of today’s golfers.

Key current timeline dates include:

February is Black History Month and CCC featured Vanessa Sweat. Black History Month “is a month to celebrate all the accomplishments throughout history that Black men and women have made”, said Vanessa. WOMEN IN SPORTS

National Girls & Women in Sports Day was celebrated on February 5. Assistant Golf Professional, Kayla Bartemeyer shared her story about being a woman in sports. Her advice to girls/women in sports is to “always believe in yourself and stay consistent, surround yourself with positive influences, and never forget to have fun along the way!”

March is Women’s History Month and CCC celebrated HERstory with Julie Francis. Julie has been with the Club for 41 years and has seen lots of changes throughout the years.
