Experience the Charlotte Christian Community

Charlotte Christian School

CORE VALUES

The core values of love God, show kindness, walk humbly, pursue excellence and seek truth build the foundation of our community and our character education program at Charlotte Christian School. We seek to develop students with a lifelong biblical worldview and core Christian values. These core values share how our community should interact with each other. Each value has been defined and illuminated by scripture to give a better understanding of our commitment as a school anchored in Jesus Christ.

At Charlotte Christian, we believe it is imperative to employ teachers who are dedicated professionals, experts in their content area and who are passionate about Jesus, their students and learning. Our commitment to college preparation and educational excellence begins in lower school where our program is intentionally designed to develop students who are inquisitive, engaged and challenged to explore God’s creation and our impact on culture – in the classroom. Our vision continues with the middle school where students can explore their interests and hone their God-given gifts. Our program encourages students to pursue those interests and gifts in greater depth, challenge our students to pursue new experiences and support adolescent learners. The upper school provides robust academic offerings, which allow students to customize an academic program to fulfill specialized interests, embrace intellectual curiosity and encourage students to wrestle with life’s

questions from a biblical worldview. We are called to prepare our students for the imminent experience of college, but most importantly, for the greater endeavor of life. Loving God with all our mind means we must prepare our students to be lifelong learners who can think critically and be powerful, effective communicators. We must help them develop a foundation that prepares them to think creatively in a variety of scenarios and to flourish in global environments where teamwork and collaboration are expected and thus to ultimately impact the culture for Christ. fine arts

Fine arts are an integral part of student life at Charlotte Christian. Our extensive award-winning program includes studies in digital arts, music, theatre and visual arts with opportunities to explore various aspects of the fine arts curriculum. Lower school students build a strong foundation in the arts through experiences in visual art and Orff music education. Middle school students use that foundation as a launch point to dive deeper, hone skills and incorporate digital tools into their fine arts education. Performance ensembles begin in middle school and culminate in upper school with honors level choir, band, orchestra, jazz band, chamber ensemble and the ACT 1 competitive theatre team. Higher level course offerings in the arts include AP Studio Art, AP Art History and AP Music Theory. A multitude of fine arts electives are available including digital photography, guitar, digital music and much more.
