SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS!
Charlotte Catholic embraces the arts as a core component of its curriculum. Many students continue learning and growing beyond basics as they use their God-given talents through drama, vocal and instrumental music, art, photography, and dance. Over the past two years, the performing arts department adapted in many ways to continue to showcase the talents of students.
Under the direction of Marcus Riter, theatre students embraced a new way of performing and creating, recording on film an original web series – White Lies, along with the 2021 Spring Musical - Little Shop of Horrors. The musical returned to the stage with the 2022 production of Titanic.

CCHS welcomed Mr. Jacob Bohan as Director of Bands. In spring 2022, the CCHS band attended the South Central Band Master’s Association Concert Music Performance, receiving highest honors in all categories.
Led by Mr. John Shusdock, Director of Choirs, choral students adapted during COVID mask-wearing and then returned to full performances, closing the curtain on the gymnasium as a concert venue with the opening of the new Fine Arts Center.

Eight CCHS students received Scholastic Art Awards in the 2021 and 2022 Annual Scholastic Art Competitions.
