Years in Review

2020 - 2021 & 2021 - 2022

As we begin 2023, I feel privileged to write this letter to everyone who supports the Charlotte Catholic family. We look back on the past couple of years with gratitude. Together we faced and overcame challenges of COVID, completed the long-awaited expansion and construction of the MACS Fine Arts Center at Charlotte Catholic High School, and continued to thrive as a school community.

As expected, our students have persevered. They continue to impress with their academic excellence, thrive in athletics, and amaze us with their talents in the arts. We congratulated the graduates from the classes of 2021 and 2022, and I am so proud of all they’ve accomplished. We look forward to hearing about and staying in touch with these young adults as they make their way in the world.

The commitment of the CCHS faculty helps guide our students to success both in and out of the classroom. We celebrated the retirement of several long-time Catholic teachers and welcomed new members to our faculty. I am honored to work alongside these dedicated and talented educators.

The new MACS Fine Arts Center at Charlotte Catholic was dedicated and blessed on August 10, 2022. This expansion was envisioned decades ago when CCHS moved to the current location from the Park Road campus and I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who made this vision a reality. The enthusiastic support of the CCHS community directly impacts our students and teachers and defines what makes Charlotte Catholic such a unique and special place.

There are opportunities for parents, alumni, grandparents, and friends of Catholic to participate with and support our school, and we are so appreciative of all that you do. Last year we launched our new annual fund, Together for Catholic, which allows us to provide tuition assistance, teacher grants, the Teacher Impact Fund, and more. Thank you to those of you who have contributed to the Together for Catholic Annual Fund.

We continue to embrace our traditions and remain true to our goal of providing an excellent, well-rounded, Catholic education. In the year ahead, we will embrace a new structure as we have adopted the President/Principal model of governance. I am honored to have been named the first President of CCHS, and look forward to welcoming a new Principal in July 2023. A new CCHS Advisory Board, made up of members of our community, will work with us as we finalize our strategic plan – a plan that will continue to respect our roots while moving us forward into the future.

Thank you for being a part of the CCHS family, and for supporting the mission and students of Charlotte Catholic High School.
