We now know that the paper size is correct & we also know the viewpoint window is also scaled correctly – the only other possibility is the plot scale is wrong. The plot scale is the relationship between the viewport windows and the sheet of paper. To change this we go to the modify button to set up manager.

Check the plot size is 1:1 in mm

AR – Array tool

Draw a line, and then press ESC.

Select the line then type in AR hit space and make sure you select rectangle.

Short cut: You can type WI then pick the option from the list.

Wipe out hides a selected area. It has a similar effect in essence to trim – but the bonus is that it is non – destructive – enabling you to keep the data beneath – and edit it later if need be. Choose wipe outThen draw the outline you wish to cut out- the computer recognises rectangles as polylines – so if you have drawn a polyline or rectangle – you can choose this option rather than tracing it. Keep or discard the originalDivide tool Shortcut – DIV Cuts objects up into segments – and displays them as nodes. Make sure your nodes are on under OSNAP menu. To bring up the OSNAP menu – hold control and right click – then select OSNAP settings.
