Shuttle Route

The Charleston Parks Conservancy closes down Ashley Road, and the part of the sidewalk through Colonial Lake that runs parallel to Ashley, for the event, and the entrance for Party for the Parks is at the corner of Rutledge and Ashley. We re-direct attendees from the vendor entrance and exit at the corner of Beaufain and Ashley around the lake, which is nearly 4 of a mile walk Etto golf carts would transport attendees to the main event entrance

EVENT OVERVIEW

Picnic in the Parks is a signature annual fundraising event for the Charleston Parks Conservancy and is a birthday celebration of the incorporation of the Conservancy. It is the only fundraising event that is family-focused, with its main demographic being young families with children ages infant-8 years old. Most importantly, Picnic in the Parks brings attention to the Conservancy’s mission and helps highlight key projects and programs while creating a strong brand backed by hundreds of volunteers and supporters

All proceeds from this event directly benefit the mission of the Charleston Parks Conservancy in 26 public parks, gardens and trails. Come celebrate the Conservancy’s 18th birthday and help us raise critical funds needed to continue our mission to inspire the people of Charleston to connect with their parks and together create stunning public spaces and a strong community! In 2024, this event raised $40,000 for the Conservancy
