The Division offers individual, group and family psychotherapy, anger management and medication assisted therapy. In addition to traditional therapy support, the Behavioral Health Services Division provides individual and family peer recovery support, Narcan training and distribution, tobacco cessation classes and prevention outreach and education. Local Behavioral Health Authority The Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) plans, manages, and monitors a full range of treatment and rehabilitation services for persons with mental illness and co-occurring disorders through the Public Behavioral Health System. One of the LBHA’s many roles is to sponsor and provide training programs for provider agencies, including Mental Health First Aid and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training. Disability Services The Division of Disability Services provides Coordination of Community Services (CCS) to individuals with disabilities and an Infants and Toddlers program for eligible children in Charles County in partnership with the Charles County Public School and Charles County Department of Social Services. The CCS program provides case management services and assists individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families in learning and gaining access to resources in their community, planning for their future, and accessing needed services and supports. The Infants and Toddlers Program provides services at no cost to children from birth through 2 years of age who may be delayed in their development or have diagnosed disabilities. Using a family-centered approach, the program monitors and assists families by coaching them on how to promote development in all areas for their child. Services that can be offered to an eligible child and their family depends on their areas of need and may include service coordination, audiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, special instruction, and home visits.
