Indochinese Tiger
This Indochinese tiger is found in the jungles of Thailand and Myanmar. With an orange body and black stripes, the Indochinese tiger is one of the largest cats and is feared for its aggressiveness towards other animals and humans There are only 300-400 Indochinese tigers left in the world. There are also efforts in the conservation of these species. There are 105 captive tigers in 14 countries for breeding programs. To save the Indochinese tiger population, the government focuses on poaching and conserving this animal.
The Tonkin Snub-nosed Monkey is a slender arboreal monkey endemic to northern Vietnam. It is colored in black and white fur with a pink nose and lips and blue patches around the eyes. There are only 80-100 mature Tonkin Snub-nosed Monkeys in the wild. The cause of their critical state is poaching and loss of habitat. Heavy poaching for food and the black market selling wildlife are the leading causes of the decrease in the population of this snub-nosed monkey. Today there are efforts to conserve these species; gun confiscation is one of them.
