Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties: What’s the REAL purpose?

Research shows that the nature of these parties are strictly based on the people or person throwing it, not tradition. So why has these parties strayed so far away from their true purpose?

Why would the people closest to you want you to indulge in what some would call inappropriate activities and behavior right before you marry the love of your life? Let’s see what the poll say’s?

According to the poll, Bachelor/bachelorette parties are appropriate. Although there was a tie when it came to “ Being free for one last night”, 16 out of 20 people said being intimate with someone else on this night is grounds for breakup. The poll also confirms that commitment begins at the start of the relationship not after you say, “I do”.

In conclusion, the union of marriage is GOD’s plan for us. Having a bachelor/bachelorette party is a great way to come together with family and friends in congratulating both the bride and groom. On this night, the focus should be excitement and happiness for the two people that finally found the person who was created just for them. Not one last night to act single and be intimate with other people. So have fun! and remain faithful.

I don’t know what state you're in and how hot the temperature gets where you live. But in Florida its practically hot year-round. We must keep our bodies hydrated. The best way to do this is by drinking water.

But How do you choose with so many options of bottled water? The first way people choose is normally by taste. But sometimes we choose taste over the healthier option.

In recent studies, the pH balance in Dasani and Aquafina was really low and close to acidic. The pH balance in Voss was even lower and more acidic but taste better and more expensive.

My favorite water is Zephyrhills. When tested, Zephyrhills was at an average pH balance, right where it should be.

There are several other choices of water that you can choose from. But when it comes to price, quality and taste Zephyrhills is the water I suggest you drink for the summer.

Kendra’s Corner Lizzo gives her oppinon on relationships Lizzo was on the breakfast club. While there she talked about relationships, these are some things she said, that stood out to me. “ Monogamy is claustrophobic”, “ I can’t imagine being with someone for 10 yrs.”, Traditional relationships are scary”, A love relationship that’s not monogamous has no rules”.

For everyone who feels this way, everyone has their view of what they want, need and desire. However, I believe that when people feel this way it’s their way of protecting their heart, so they won’t get hurt, this is called a defense mechanism. When Charlamagne tha God said to her “ you guys might be together for 10 years” her response was “ we might”. This response lets me know that everything she said she doesn't want, is actually, everything that she desires. If she say’s she doesn’t want it, she won't be hurt if it doesn't happen.

The bible say’s “ Do not rely on your own understanding.” ( Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5; New World Translation). The bible lays out what a relationship should look like and gives us rules that we should adhere to. Don’t change what you truly won’t because you haven’t found it yet and you don’t think it’s going to happen. It’s coming, just continue to work on you.

Lenny’s Corrner Shaq vs. Jordan I must be honest; I have never bought a pair of Jordans, or a pair of Shaq's, so you should know that I'm not bias. But I do have a question, why do we support the sales of Michael Jordan’s shoes, but not the sales of Shaquille O'Neal's shoes?

Jordan to me is the greatest player of all time, a lot of his charity work is on a large scale. Such as donations to hospitals in underserved communities’, boys and girls' clubs of America, college funds and special Olympics. Shaq is also one of the greatest players of all time, he also gives to the boys and girls club of America and programs targeting underserved youth nationwide. What stands out to me the most is his personal connection to communities. Shaq plays basketball with youth at there home and pays off a lot of bills at Walmart and other stores for families. Now let's look at what sets them apart, Shaq actually tipped my sister and every staff member at IHOP $100 while dinning in. This leads me to when Shaq turned down a 40-million-dollar deal with reebok, to create an affordable shoe that would be available at Walmart. I don’t understand why we don’t support his brand more, when he clearly created a brand with people in mind first and not money. Shaq listens and cares about people needs and moves in such a noble humble way, that I believe it gets overlooked. Jordan on the other hand; not to knock him but I'm just telling the truth, his shoes cost anywhere from 100 dollars and up verses a $19 pair of Shaq's. Yes, Jordans do look really fly but as you can see in the pictures below so do Shaq's. If people bought more Shaq's instead of Jordans I believe there would be an increase in our financial stability. So like Michael Jackson said I'm starting with the man in the mirror by purchasing my first pair of Shaq’s. Maybe you should try it to. Let's start supporting people whose mission is to HELP us!!

How I got my IBS- constipation under control without medication

My Jour ney I went from not liking to do the #2 to not being able to. I always thought it was disgusting as a teenager. My bowel movements happened maybe twice a week.

When my mom took me to the doctor, they said that it was normal for girls. I never thought about it again until I reached the big 30.

After I hit this milestone, it became very apparent that something was wrong. I start getting very sharp pains in my stomach. The pains where so bad sometimes I had to be rushed to the hospital.

After my medical exam I was diagnosed with IBS-constipation. I was prescribed Linzess, This medication did help me move my bowels, but it also gave me diarrhea. I got rid of one animal and inherited another.

I stopped the medication and decided to get to know my body. I started paying attention to how foods and drinks made my body feel.

I’ve always been in love with drinking coffee, but I came to realize, the coffee was dehydrating my system which was making it very hard for me to move my bowels. I also wasn’t drinking the recommended amount of water, and eating a lot of fried foods.

The other thing I realized was a problem is the lack of time I spent on the toilet.

My solution I started drinking more water, stopped drinking coffee, watched my diet and start drinking tea. Lots and lots of tea, I noticed a change right away. My bowels are moving, and the pain is better. Having IBS is very hard, and you must make good food choices everyday, because when you don’t, your body pays for it.
