To our CBE clergy and staff, we are so thankful for everything that you do! Rabbi Sholklapper and Cantor Waghalter, you lead such meaningful services and inspire us. Michele, our children continue to learn and grow under your guidance. Norma, Marilyn, and Erin, you are the engine that keeps our synagogue running and help in so many ways. ~CBE Board

During this time of the pandemic, I'm grateful to still be alive. I'm grateful not to have lost more people than I already have so far. I'm grateful for my father, Selig Eidelberg, and for Rabbi, Cantor, and everyone else involved with our Zoom Shabbat services and other meetings. I'm grateful for the rest of our CBE community. I'm grateful for all the friends and relatives with whom I spend hours on the phone. And I'm grateful for my kitty, Melody, whose presence helps to provide both comfort and occasional laughter. ~Carol Schorn

We are grateful that we do not have to get through these difficult times alone, that all of us, our children as well as ourselves, remain in good health. We are able to work from home and still have a steady income; we have a place to live. We are SO thankful for the technological advances that not only provide the opportunity to stay informed, but allow us to connect with others, both socially and spiritually. We are blessed to have been able to spend more than four decades in a loving relationship and we are grateful to be looking forward together. We take joy in our synagogue community and the wonderful friends – who are like family – that we have there. We are grateful for the beautiful voices that enhance the Services with song, and for our Clergy who help reinforce our connection to God. We are thankful for the feel of the sun on our faces and the wind in our hair. There are so many things to be thankful for, we could never list them all, but we are grateful for the opportunity. ~Jim and Deb Paras

Thank you to Michele Croft and Cantor Waghalter for your tireless work to create a meaningful Religious School Program this year. Our children all enjoyed their first class and we are excited to see what this year brings. ~Religious School Parents

Everyday I try to notice the good Hakarat Ha Tov - in the small things, the "bad things" that could have been worse, the fun silly things and the hard to do things. it is because of my family, friends and my CBE community that I am able to find the Light, the Spark in my heart for my daily gratitude that encompasses y'a;;. Thank you for making my life better. ~Michelle Michener

We are especially grateful for the good health of our family & frriends. And are very grateful for the ability to continue our connection with our Beth El family. ~Carol & Ralph Katz

L'shanah tova to the Congregation Beth El community. May we all enjoy a year of good health. ~Carol Cooper

We are grateful to have such loving and supportive parents/in-laws. It's been challenging during these times and we're are thankful that our family has stayed so close even from a distance. We are lucky to have grown up with such strong Jewish values instilled in us and have Judaism be a central part of our lives. Thank you mom and dad for your love and all you do for us. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and sweet New Year. ~Jonathan Kessler and Elyssa Hammerman

My gratitude as we approach our High Holidays extends far more that the list below, but these are a few of my favorite things that I am so grateful for. To my husband, Lance, thank you for the hugs, for the morning and goodnight kisses, for the smiles and for the loving way you look at me (most of the time). For everything you are and everything I am when I’m with you. To my two daughters, Natasha and Danya, I am a very proud Mama! When I look at the independent woman you have both become, I thank G d for everything. The talents you both have, the love, caring and compassion in your heart. I am grateful to have you both in my life. I’m so lucky. May G d keep you safe and sound always. To my Dad and remembering may incredible Mom, Thank you for no reason and Thank you for every reason. Showing me the way every day you are always there not only for me but for my whole family. More wonderful parents I could not ask for. Thank you Mom from above, I know you are guiding me and looking after us as you always did when you were in our world but now guiding from above. I love and miss you!

To my extended family, Thank you for your never ending love, support and encouragement. Other things may change but we start and end with family. To my Beth El Community, you have my heart and soul. You have been my home for over 25 years. I am grateful for all the wonderful opportunities throughout the years you have given me. I have met, worked and collaborated with incredible people who have come and gone and some have become my very best friends. While some may see our shul in terms of just our building, the soul of CBE are in our member’s hearts, smiles, hugs, laughter, sadness all of us together. In one word “LIFE” with one another. We are all going through a big hiccup right now, but it shall pass and I for one can’t wait. These are just a few of my favorite things to be grateful for. Shanah Tova to everyone. Stay safe and well. See you in person on the other side of this hiccup! ~Marilyn Gorel, CBE Office Manger

We are thankful for the leadership of the Board as they guide us through these uncharted times. We appreciate their flexibility and hard work to keep our congregation running smoothly.
