JUNE SIVAN - TAMMUZ JERUSALEM In the months of Tammuz and Av we observe “The Three Weeks,” the mourning period which commemorates the capture of Jerusalem and subsequent destruction of its Holy Temple. The midrash teaches that when Moshiach comes and rebuilds the third Temple, which will stand forever, these days will be transformed from ones of mourning to joy.
