The “Inside Out” project is about supporting and celebrating independent brands and their environments and helping them survive and thrive during challenging times like the COVID Pandemic. Being able to design a new outdoor space that is a unique evolution of the business.

My project reflects the information from my talisman, diagrams, and inspiration from mood board, the original brand touch points diagram and the forms preserved in my ghost buildings. The goal is to retain the important elements that define the brand of Martin’s restaurant, a family owned business, as well as incorporating new insights from the partner interviews of the business that was slected and bringing those features “Inside Out” • •

Existing Building: Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City Location of Building | 2 E 91st St, New York, NY 10128| Welcome to the Woolen World Exhibition where we explored the material history of wool as both a cultural and spatial substance; leading to the design of an exhibition on the subject at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City. I investigated various aspects of the history and performance of wool, culminating in a compendium of research, which was used to generate the terms of the exhibition.

This photo shows the shearing process by which the woolen fleece of a sheep is cut off. Domesticated sheep have been shorn since the dawn of civilization. Early on, wool was a vital resource to support human life. Wool is a unique type of fiber that just grows on the hide of sheep. Sheep are sheared with electric shears or manually with scissors or hand blades. this exhibition will focus on the importance of the sheering process as the act of sacrifice of the wool being removed. Being able to physically experience the wool being removed and feeling the sense of relief in the end. Seeking the presence of violence, being able to read the kind of crudeness of the blade having passed over the body of the animal. This is the violence of welcome.

Wool Studies The Pasta studies were used in place to substitute the wool. Having to explore the material behaviors and histories of wool led to inform ideas and methods for generating an immersive exhibition experience.

Text Inspiration

The first sectional room consists of using felt material surrounding the entire room. The guests will be able to able to interact with the wool material by walking and touching the rough cut edges of the felt material that is stacked above at tall lengths. The signage and the information for the exhibition will be cut out within the felt material showcasing the written description for the exhibition.

The second sectional drawing represents the power of the blade used having passed over the body. known as a cutter, driven back and forth over the surface of a comb and the wool is cut from the animal. The metal blade is wrapped around the room reaching down the average Human chest level, having to physically experience the blade and bending over to enter the room.

An Elegant Nightclub The quality of being powerfully and mysteriously attractive or fascinating

Welcome to allure, where you’ll find gorgeous crowds, sexy beats, and delicious flavored cocktails. Less frenetic than traditional clubs, this venue offers the opportunity for entertainment, dancing, and intimate conversation while still satisfying the need to see and be seen. A person goes on a night out it is highly likely that they will dress up and make sure that they look their best. For this reason, people who know that they are attending this place know appearance plays a high role and are likely to take this as an opportunity to express themselves – both as individuals and as part of a group. allure has a fascinating water feature that flows in the center of all three levels. This will help break the ice and create chemistry towards each other to keep them going up.

This is a perfect atmosphere for the shy to get comfortable with their date before engaging them in (gasp!) full-blown conversation to end the night watching the amazing view on the rooftop feeling endlessly in love.

Title: Mornings in Paris Software: Rhino and Twinmotion

Welcome to Mornings in Paris. A Cafe restaurant located in Paris. The cafe has seating indoors and outdoors with natural lighting to create a beautiful open space, along with wooden paneling and modern design elements. Focusing on the traditional intimate interior and outdoor sidewalk seating. The French café culture is for people who like to set eyes on the Eifel tower. French café has designated areas for quiet book readers, romantic couples, business meetings, and animated groups of friends sharing a bottle of wine enjoying the beautiful outdoor view.

Woody’s Cafeteria Project

Woodbury University IDES 258- Building Systems Software: AutoCAD and Rhino

The project site is Woody’s on the Woodbury Campus. Assigned to retrofit the dining area of Woody’s into a Student Union by adding a mezzanine for the additional, usable area, as well as a set of restrooms to the existing space. Having to determine what structural system was used and what design constraints and opportunities were considered in the design approach including programmatic requirements, code regulations, existing and accessibility, function, and flow, as well as environmental concerns and constructability issues.

The new Woody’s cafeteria will provide a modern atmosphere, healthy dining, and cafe-type selections. This is a place to relax and focus on enjoying your lunch as well as having options to play games. Wanting our students to eat and enjoy their meal and their friends in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

WOODBURY UNIVERITY REVIT 1 Software: Revit

The Eames project will take you through the introductory exercises that involve designing a model and cartoon set of the Eames House. The Eames House, also known as Case Study House No. 8, is a landmark of mid-20th century modern architecture located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. It was designed and constructed in 1949 by husband-and-wife Charles and Ray Eames to serve as their home and studio. The house has a diverse array of furnishings and objects that Ray and Charles Eames collected throughout their lives.

Sea Ranch & Ark Dream House

Following the historical use of dollhouses as an educational tool, it is used to play out different programmatic scenarios (making a house for a single-family vs. a collection of individuals). As such, the emphasis is placed on designing the relational proportion of rooms & volumes to one another, opposed to continuing the modernist paradigm of rooms identified through their function: living, dining, bedroom, etc. The project is a renovation of a Binker Barn, by MLTW, at Sea Ranch. Taking the Polly Pocket model from Exercise 1 (The Ark House by Johnston Marklee) and inserting it into the larger Binker Barn envelope. Building on the forms, geometries, and ideas of the precedents, expand the interior forms meanwhile adding stairs and vertical circulation. The Layouts remain as non-functionalist as possible, designed to work for at least two specified programs, consisting of one family, multiple families, or a collection of individuals. Adding a hinge placement as a technique to maximize the potential of the space. The final model is a Dollhouse model with multiple hinges - a larger hinge that opens to give a sectional view of the project and smaller hinging rooms within, which are carried over from the first model “The Ark House”.

Getty Images is a for-profit facility used to archive and distribute proprietary photographs and digital images. The facility is set up so that clients can come to the offices and view archives of professional photographs they want to use. Knowing this, the “camera” is the most optical instrument that captures a visual image. Getty images use this magnificent tool to capture great images/special moments that are worth archiving and purchasing. The camera helps to create and preserve memories of historical and/or sentimental value, to connect different pathways. In this space, you will feel the energy to want to explore and be present in the moment. The curved wall will be implemented around the display area to represent the shape of the camera being the key factor and focal point in this space. The Curved walls give a sense of movement and flow to and around the Getty Image display area, hungry for more.

The curved edges and rounded contours give a sense of pathway and hope for more enjoyable moments soon, it is what attracts the viewer’s eye and keeps the viewer’s attention.

Welcome to Chalise Cafe, it is no secret that desserts make people happy. Our classical French cafe offers a variety of dessert-tasting menus to be paired with wines and teas, and culinary masterpieces are created before customers’ very eyes. Chalise café was inspired by the Great Victor Pierre Horta was a Belgian architect and designer, who created the amazing Tassel House, often cited as the first Art Nouveau building. We are designing an angled skylight ceiling to feel outdoors with ample lighting.

Welcome to Joanna Gaines Kitchen Remodel. The kitchen is designed for Joanna Gaines and her family (a total of 7). The Farmhouse-style kitchen prioritizes practicality, simplicity, and rustic charm.

The design reflects the aesthetics of rural architecture, it also embraces modern comforts, creating a look that feels both cozy and stylish. My client will have a space that can accommodate large meals for her family. My client loves having a clean and functional, yet homey and comforting environment.

My client enjoys gazing out at the animals from the window over the sink. My design for a Farmhouse style kitchen offers the perfect spot to entertain and spend time with family.

Alexander McQueen was a London based English fasion designer who was known for his controversial looks, although known for his use of shock tactics and drama on the runway, McQueen’s designs draw from a very traditional source; before his career as a designer began, Alexander McQueen’s mixes patterns and materials and expresses movement through his designs. He is very bold and daring with Haute Couture work, bringing out the edgy side of his clients who like his work are not afraid to think creatively.

The Urban Vida Loft Studio

Welcome to Mika and Linda’s Modern Urban Bohemian Style Loft. This is an artistic open space that symbolizes or captures the idea of art, unity, and creativity which collectively will tie back into their job fields specifically applying/dedicating it to their shared office. Mike and Linda will love the abundance of natural sunlight throughout the space, making its way through wide and high windows. Its main and distinctive features are high ceilings and the absence of any partitions. A harmonious mix of various architectural solutions and a flow of a gallery walk is the basic concept of this style which represents what Downtown LA is all about. I will incorporate elements of the past (raw brick walls, aged frames, metal ladders, practical lighting systems, chrome details, and mirrors.
