My Zine highlights the graphic color designs of the punk era through the albums and punk art of music Pink provokes exceptionally strong feelings of both attraction and repulsion Indeed, it has been called the most divisive of colors Pink has played a notable role in both political protests and popular music associated with rebellious youth Black and bright colors Bright colors the funky whimsy necessary for the pop, and black keeps things dark for the punk portion Besides their addictive, ultra-high energy, catchy melodies, and insightful, meaningful lyrics, the message that Green Day sends its listeners is that you should be yourself Don't allow others to wrongly influence you, and, most importantly, don't believe the lies of politicians Be true to yourself, and do what you want to do, not what society dictates you do
