ith the holiday season fast upon us, it's easy for the next two months to become a blur. What, with all the preparation, decorating, shopping, wrapping, and gatherings, you can just about feel the anxiety in the air. Here's the thing: there is a lot to look forward to in the month of November. Let's not forget about the Thanksgiving Meal—the perfect excuse to put your feet up, turn on some football, and soak as much food in gravy as is humanly possible. If we're not careful, however, we will spend hours seasoning, roasting, peeling, and mashing all while missing the point of Thanksgiving. November 28 will come and go very soon, will our thankfulness? Thanksgiving is not about simply satisfying our appetites; thanksgiving is our way of expressing gratitude towards God for all He's done in our lives. Instead of sharing Mary's portion, reflecting on God's goodness and enjoying our loved ones, will we be consumed by Martha's worries? (See Luke 10:38-42). The overflow of a thankful heart is a generous spirit, eager to be a blessing

to others. We have several opportunities this month for you to do just that. All month long, we'll be collecting gifts for our Christmas on Central outreach. Be sure to stop by the North Lobby and register a tag from the tree to bless a family for Christmas. Your kids will be learning about giving back in their services as well. Plus, they will have a chance at the end of this month to prepare blessing bags for families in need. You can also give to our Imagination Project Season 2, where we are currently working on renovating the North Lobby restrooms and the new kids' space. As we continue to complete many items on the checklist, we are able to reach more people with excellence. What's most important is not how you give or even what you choose to give but that you take the time this month to fill yourself with gratitude. We'd love to hear what you're thankful for. Open the CFTN app and tap This Week and you'll see a form where you can share.

Dr. Michael and Mary Maiden are the founders and lead pastors of Church for the Nations. A strong prophetic voice to this generation, Dr. Maiden’s messages are relevant, timely and life-changing. Pastor Mary is the beloved wife of Dr. Maiden for over 40 years and a vibrant voice of blessing to all the CFTN family.

CHRISTMAS ON CENTRAL

At CFTN, we love our city—so much that we gave that name to our outreach ministry. Each year during the Christmas season, we get to bring hope to our city by giving gifts, sharing faith, and offering encouragement. We got off to a great headstart this summer with Christmas in July and now through the month of November, you can get involved by adopting one (or more) of the nearly 1,000 tags on our trees in the North Lobby. Each tag represents a child or family from one of these friends of CFTN:

đ&#x;Ž„ Urban Youth (group homes, shelters, etc.) đ&#x;Ž„ Single Parent Families & their kids đ&#x;Ž„ Girls in Colorado City Shelter đ&#x;Ž„ MVMT Youth đ&#x;Ž„ New American Families đ&#x;Ž„ Teen Challenge đ&#x;Ž„ Angel Tree Ministry

We'll be collecting gifts all month long. Please bring unwrapped gift items back to the North Lobby display by Wednesday, November 27.

WE’RE THANKFUL. ENCOUNTER CONFERENCE 2019

The CFTN Encounter Conference last month was a huge success! We hosted several world-class guests including Samuel Rodriguez, Benny Perez, and Israel Houghton with thousands in attendance. Evening General Sessions are available now to watch or listen in the CFTN app. We would like to thank all who served at the conference. We couldn't have done it without the support of our amazing volunteers.

THE FEST ON CENTRAL

Our yearly neighborhood outreach was a hit for local families. As always, kids left with plenty of sweets and smiles on their faces. We are hearing such positive responses from those who attended The Fest.

The Fest on central

We are thankful for our church's commitment to prayer and outreach. Our powerful prayer team has reported several decisions made to follow Christ in their experience at our fall party.

IMAGINATION PROJECT

We recently finished a major update to the North Lobby ladies' restroom and are breaking ground this month on the "modern and masculine" men's restroom. We thank everyone who has dreamt, prayed, and given toward the Imagination Project. Because of your gifts, we are able to ensure our campus reflects our mission. Remember, you can give at any time by texting keyword 'imagine' and the amount to 74483.
