The music program has aesthetic, creative, cultural, and academic values that complete and further the educational and social values of a quality education. The study and playing of a musical instrument and vocal training, whether alone or in a group, offers the young person a lifelong enjoyment and appreciation of music This might be attained through creating, performing, responding, and connecting. Participation in the music program fosters several important aspects of education. Its primary focus is to develop creative potential and high-level thinking. It also teaches the importance of a cooperative effort, acceptance of leadership, acceptance of differences, and the need for self-discipline and responsibility. It broadens the cultural life of our community. It helps achieve self-realization (self-expression, emotional/spiritual expression, and personality development). It has its own set of skills and knowledge and encourages physical and mental health. It also seeks to make students aware of the possibilities music offers as a career or vocation.
The Physical Education Department staff believes that the function of the Physical Education Program is to afford each student the opportunity to develop their maximum physical potential
