Randall Consolidated School J1
District Administrator Update
Robert Antholine, District Administrator
Our Randall School community is in the heart of the school year, and there is a special vibe that our amazing teachers create that our students use to empower their individual definition of excellence in learning.
One of the things that I wish could be shared with our community is a way to experience those day-to-day special moments that your children and our educators create together. Those moments and vibe that are created are what makes being in education special and amazing at Randall.
I believe that our primary roles at Randall are to keep everyone safe and create a powerful learning environment for everyone It’s our mission to focus on relationships and learning, and that takes place every day As a public school, we also have a strong fiscal responsibility Financial Stewardship is one of our FOUR key areas in Randall’s Continuous Improvement Plan Over the past three years, Randall increased/maintained a fund balance that has allowed Randall to eliminate the need for short-term borrowing. Randall’s bond rating was increased in the spring of 2023 to an Aa3 from an A1. Additionally, the district completed a 10-year facility plan in 2022 while alignin staff salaries to be above the local mean. These are all celebrations that don’t often get shared and are the efforts of a diligent Board of Education and business department
Budget Facts for 2024-2025, represented in the chart that shows the financial breakdown of Randall and most school districts. Any questions, please reach out to the District Administrator or Business Manager.
I wish everyone a safe and warm spring.

Creative Fun in Art
The junior high classes were working on a fun ceramic clay project called "Big Mouth Creatures " The kids learned various clay techniques while building fun creatures with big mouths! They used their imaginations and creativity to make a unique, one of a kind three dimensional work of art
Elementary Art
In the elementary school, students were working on their self portraits Traditionally at Randall, students create their self portraits in kindergarten At their 8th grade promotion, students are surprised with their self portraits and always enjoy seeing their artwork from their kindergarten year. Fun tradition at Randall!
Oceans, Rivers & Lakes - Oh My!
Ms Michel’s 1st grade class has been learning about Earth Materials In this particular lesson students developed a model of the earth's surface and used it to discover an important principle about how rivers work - Why does water in a river continually move? By creating paper mountains and coloring the high points blue, students were able to observe patterns of how water and rivers flow
quid Dissecting
In fourth grade, students experienced a hands-on les dissecting a squid. Squid dissection allows students t examine structural adaptations and observe the relationship between form and function With gloves magnifying glasses, students explored the squid’s ext and internal features, from its streamlined body to it fascinating organs like the ink sac and beak. It was a that gave us a deeper understanding of marine biolo an appreciation for the creatures of the ocean

GreatJobProjectRandallStudents!!!!
After a 7 year hiatus, frog dissection returned to the Jr High science curriculum with many eyes sparkling with anticipation Our 7th and 8th grade students worked in pairs as they explored the different organ systems of jumbo BullFrogs. A big thank you to former Randall and now retired Wilmot teacher, Steve Sproul, for leading the amphibian autopsy
100 Days of Learning!
Traditionally at Randall students celebrate the 100th day of school Kindergarteners worked hard to put 100 items on their shirts and walked the Randall hallways for all to see! The students were so proud to show everyone in the building all of their hard work decorating their shirts. Great job kindergarteners!
