Objectives
Airspace Misión
[ Antes del Vuelo ]
Understanding the airspace where you are operating is vital to complying with the FAA and safe airspace.
Skyvector Misión
The flight plan includes making NOTAM. Since verifying the NOTAM application was received, getting the local CTAF notification the studentswilldemonstratetheability to use skyvector.com.
Communications Misión
Students will demonstrate the primary use of communications during the process of a flight mission. This includes checking internal radio frequencies, control tower frequency, monitoring airspace, and verifying remote identification.
LAANC Misión
Notification and authorization capability system enables rapid clearance in controlled airspace.
Climate Misión
Studentswilldemonstratetheability to obtain local weather conditions including temperature, wind direction and speed, visibility, sunrise and sunset times. Students will verbalize the minimum requirements of the climate.
Detail the mission Misión
Understanding the airspace where you are operating is vital for every DSP pilot. The student will demonstratetheability to select an appropriate mission on digital flight platforms and its importance of complementing them in the mission.
Air Services
[ Servicios Aéreos ]
To maintain uniformity and professionalism, a flight number is required for all air services including training flights. All negotiators must request a flight number.
Para mantener uniformidad y profesionalismo, es requerido un negociados deben solicitar número de vuelo.
1- An email with the flight number request is sent to: prriocsanjuan@dsp.pr.gov.
2-To receive the flight number, the pilot must call the following by phone: Puerto Rico Regional Intelligence Operational Center (PRRIOC) Tel. (787) 793-5087 ext. 1039–1040.

PHOTOGRAMMETRY Y FOTOGRAMETRÍA
Depending on the mission, mapping is necessary for analysis of specific areas, taking photos and videos, as part of crime scene reconstruction.
SEARCH AND RESCUE
Dependiendo de la misión, la creación de mapas es necesarios para el análisis de áreas específicas, toma de fotos y videos.
BÚSQUEDA Y RESCATE
In natural disaster events, drones play a very important role as part of the recovery stage. This technology supports groundpersonnel by expanding the search field and adding a safety element for responders.
SEARCH AND IDENTIFICATION
BÚSQUEDA E IDENTIFICACIÓN
As part of documenting and identifying evidence at a crime scene, UAVs complement investigators' efforts by reducing time at the scene.
STRUCTURAL FIRES INCENDIOS ESTRUCTURALES
From drones that put out fires, thermal technology, gas sensors, identification of temperatures in compromised environments, drones are definitely a basic equipment for the personnel of the Fire Department, doubling the effort as an additional tool to firefighting.

PRACTICAL EXERCISES
E JERCICIOS PR Á CTICOS
NIST Training
The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is developing a comprehensive set of standard test methods andassociatedperformancemetricstoquantify thekeycapabilitiesofdronesusedinemergency response.
Capacitación NIST
These test methods address pilot-defined requirements for mobility, handling, sensors, power, communications, operator competence, logistics, and safety of remotely operatedaircraft.
Open Test Lanes
Flight Paths
Trayectorias de Vuelo
5 different flight paths are evaluated to identify objects from safe altitudes in open environments. These tests are scalable for aircraft of all sizes to demonstrate positive control every time with precision patches. They can be done outdoors or indoors to control lighting and climate. The smaller-sized lane fits on an indoor basketball or tennis court for small drones and/or novice pilots to practice safely without flying in restricted airspace.
Se evalúan 5 trayectorias de vuelo diferentes para identificar objetos desde altitudes seguras en entornos abiertos. Estas pruebas son escalables para aeronaves de todos los tamaños para demostrar un control positivo en todo momento con parchos de precisión.
Flight Simulator
[ Carriles de Prueba Abiertos ]
Motor skill in a short time
Trayectorias de Vuelo
Flight simulators help the pilot acquire motor skills and abilities before using real equipment. It builds muscle memory in the joints and provides confidence during flight missions. Each of the students has their own transmitter and can connect to their own computer at any time to improve their skills.
The benefit of the flight simulator helps to rate the flight performance of the students is an invaluable time saver for the instructor. Students who have never flown a drone help build their skills and confidence before attempting to fly a real UAV.
