EV ERY ONE ON MIS SION

In the last 25 years of being a Christ-follower, I have participated in at least 20 Global Impact Conferences. Ten of those have been right here at Central Baptist. In fact, in February 2005, my first Sunday as the Senior Pastor of Central Baptist, we were kicking off Central’s Global Impact Conference. Over the years, I have watched this conference stir the hearts of hundreds of believers and shape Central’s mission vision. You do not want to miss this week; make plans to attend, God is going to move. We are going to personalize missions. You will hear from our Northwest Church Planters, and you are going to be introduced to what God is going to be doing around the world. As you look through our mission strategy, God is going to move upon your heart to Give, Go, and Pray. I believe HE is going to ask all of us to give a certain amount over and above our tithe to the

Missions Offering. The Missions Offering is an offering that is given by faith, above and beyond your regular giving or tithe to the church, which is a commitment in advance, received over a period of time, and used for global evangelism. God is going to ask all of us to go on mission by going, giving, and praying. So…let go and let God do a work in you during this conference. This is a church-wide event at Central Baptist Church. We are ONE Church, meeting in multiple locations. We are going to Love God and Love Others, and we are asking “Everyone to be On Mission!”

ABOU T THE

G L O B A L I M P A C T C O N F E R E N C E Each year as a church family, we unite together for the Global Impact Conference to focus on the mission God has set before us. Jesus gave us the strategy for global evangelism in Acts 1:8. “You shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem (Our City), and in all Judea (Our State), and Samaria (Our Country), and even to the remotest part of the earth (Our World). Throughout these pages you will see how Central Baptist is partnering with believers locally and around the world to flesh out the Acts 1:8 strategy. These goals are only possible through your faith commitment offerings of your time and money. Someone from each of these partnerships will be at one of our campuses during the GIC to connect

with

church family.

the population attending an evangelical church. That H O P E F O U N D I N percentage point may be a couple of points higher in J E S U S C H R I S T Denver. In most cases, of the 96% that do not attend church, they are not hostile to Christ; just indifferent. So, we can say the whole area from Colorado north to Canada, and west to the Pacific is lost and needs Jesus! Indian Reservations dot the landscape as well with inroads of seeing many Indians come to Jesus on the Ft. Belnap Reservation. It is also very expensive to plant churches in these areas. Around 44% of the Faith Commitment Offering will support the church plants of the Northwest. By the end of 2015, we anticipate seven churches will exist in

the Northwest - in Spokane through Stephen Ward and Zack Minton, in Denver through Ben Mandrell, in Seattle through Andy Brown, and in Ft. Belnap Indian Reservation through Bruce Plummer. Due to the prayers, monetary, and volunteer support of Central Baptist Church, three of those churches will start this year.

Andy & Trang Brown left Arkansas to start The Landing in 2013 in Kenmore, WA; a suburb of Seattle. They launched in 2014 with 27 professions of faith and began outreach in downtown Seattle among downtowners and the homeless in January 2015. The Landing Hispanic Church will launch in March in the same building at Kenmore!

Converted from being a drunken Indian, Bruce Plummer saw how to contextualize the gospel to the Cree and Assiniboine Native Americans with great success. Through servant evangelism, Bruce and Sande have seen over 1,000 full-blooded Indians accept Christ through PowWows, children’s ministries, and a retreat center.

Since the brutal reign of Idi Amin and the ravages of A.I.D.S., Uganda has been reeling physically, sociologically, and spiritually. Through meeting human needs with buckets of love, Mama Kits for pregnant moms, and orphan care, evangelism is taking place and churches are starting. Central will begin a two-year partnership to support a church planter, trained in our seminary, as well as meet many human needs among orphans and A.I.D.S., victims!

FORREST C I T Y FELLOWSHIPCOMMUNITYCHURCHPLANT

Central is partnering with Chanson Newborn and his wife, Beverly, as they start Fellowship Community Church, a multi-ethnic church in Forrest City, AR, by sharing the gospel through community events like basketball tournaments, family fun days, and community service projects. They have seen 57 people come to Christ this year. He has seen drug addicts saved, jobs found, and families restored. They have also found a more culturally defined place to rent.

MINISTRIES Join Philip and Sandy Vandercook as they reach out to the staff of barges, cargo, and cruise ships that dock in New Orleans! The Global Maritime Center offers food, computer time, and phone service for crew members. But most of all, it offers the Gospel, seeing 15 internationals come to Christ. Our own missionaries, Leonard and Ann Davis, joined the team in 2014.

The ABCH seeks to provide a Christ-centered place of safety and security where children can grow physically, emotionally, academically, and spiritually. With 125 residents and several temporary shelters, most of the kids come to Christ while they are in one of the homes! You can help by joining teams that go to the ABCH in Monticello, AR, the Arkansas Baptist Boys Ranch in Harrison, AR, or the Family Care Home in Jonesboro, as well as the emergency home in Paragould.

The unit has been most effective in helping women inmates re-enter the job market from McPherson and Hawkins Women’s Prisons and be placed with personal mentors. Fourteen ladies who have come to Christ were helped to re-enter society from prison with jobs and mentors across the state.

In Poland, Mary, the mother of Jesus, is considered co-redeemer with Jesus. So the people, held in the grip of religion without relationship, feel that all is well with their souls. The new church in Nidzica is stronger and a new Bible study was started in Lubawa this year. The “Ns” (*) number over 1.5 million in South Africa/Middle East and live in 42 village areas, but have less than 10 known believers. Through the proximity church we are seeing some interest in Christ through medicine, training local leaders in evangelism, and sports. The Quilombolas are hidden in the jungles along the Amazon. A 45-minute ride on a boat will get you to their villages. Central is in partnership with Brazilian Baptists to reach a portion of the people. *We can’t tell you the details of where they live because of persecution.

The “K” (*) people were adopted by Central in 2001 in West Africa and two small “K” churches now exist under persecution. The “S” and “B” peoples live among them and are coming to Christ more rapidly with five churches. Thirtytwo were baptized last year and are being trained to reach the “K’!

For several years Central volunteers have gone into Guatemalan villages with no churches and accomplished Medical and Dental teams with Arkansas Baptists. This year they saw 94 saved and six families committed to have Bible studies in their home, with one church started. Also, they briefly visited another village that had no evangelistic work. In May, an evangelism team will go to this village and, in the fall, the medical and dental team will do follow-up.

Equipping young Ivorian men with the Word of God, coupled with required evangelism and church planting experience has taken root in the center of the Ivory Coast. Central and Pastor “Elijah” have dubbed the school the “School of Prophets”. “Elijah” founded and directs the school that will help us reach the goal of planting 1,000 churches in the Ivory Coast by 2020. your mind can hardly grasp the thought that we supported an Indian church planter in Southern Asia (Secure) last year that started 63 churches through overseeing T4T trainers while having 60 churches in his own network! This kind of explosive evangelism is where new converts are immediately taught to share the gospel, their testimonies, and set a strategy for the people that need to hear it with accountability. Coming closer to home, if there is a revival in Arkansas, it is still in the prisons. Again, spiritual warfare is intense and setbacks happen, but many inmates in Hawkins and McPherson prisons are being saved and mentored in the Principals and Applications for Life. They are sent back to their barracks as missionaries!
