Dear Centner Academy Community,

We are thrilled to announce that we will be chairing the 3rd Annual Centner Academy Gala, scheduled for March 15, 2025 at the Mandarin Oriental.

As co-chairs, Daniela Lawler and I, Avisha Kassir, are honored to continue this wonderful tradition of celebration and community support.

Reflecting on our past successes, our inaugural gala set the stage with an unforgettable evening that raised an impressive $380,000 for our Scholarship Program. The excitement and joy from that night still echo throughout our community and beyond. Building on that momentum, last year’s gala was another resounding success, raising a total of $502,403!

These events have been pivotal in supporting our Scholarship Program, which last year alone provided $1,362,730 in scholarships to 95 students from 71 families. This incredible achievement was made possible with significant contributions from Leila & David Centner, who generously funded $1,001,327.

These scholarships are vital, bridging the gap between what families can afford and the tuition, thus opening doors for students to experience the unique educational opportunities at Centner Academy.

Our school, established in 2019, has become a beacon of love, community, and connection, attracting families from all over the world. It’s a place where every child can thrive and grow, thanks to the support of our incredible community.

This year, our ambition is to surpass our previous achievements by raising over $600,000 for scholarships. We invite you to join us in this mission by becoming a Sponsor or Auction Item Donor. Your involvement will have a direct impact on children and families eager to be part of our special community.

Who We Are

The Centner Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a nonprofit organization of parents dedicated to supporting our amazing and unique school in its mission to provide the highest quality education to our children.

Mission

Centner Academy is so special because we are a community committed to the health, well-being and learning of the whole child. We are providing our students with the experiences, opportunities and skills to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers and emotional ninjas, all while keeping their minds and bodies super healthy!

Vision

While the PTO supports many events and initiatives throughout the year to enhance the experiences of our children, this Gala is focused on raising funds to support scholarships, providing the opportunity for more children and families to join our school community.

Centner Academy’s 3rd Annual Gala is an event to raise funds for qualified students who embody the core values of Centner Academy but who do not have the means to cover the full cost of tuition.

Goal

Our fundraising goal is to raise $600,000 for scholarship funds through ticket and table sales, sponsorships, silent and live auction, in-kind donations, and Fund-A-Scholarship.

Scholarships

In the 2024-2025 school year, $1,362,730 in scholarships was provided to 95 students from 71 families! Out of the total financial aid and scholarship funds provided, Leila & David Centner personally funded $1,001,327. Bearing the full cost of tuition can be difficult for some families whose children are valuable members of our school community.

Centner Academy Financial Aid award decisions are based on:

• Documented financial need

• Positive participation of the student in the Centner Academy community

• Student embodiment of Centner Academy’s values and behavior inside and outside the school setting

• Positive involvement of the student’s parents in the Centner Academy community

• As a recipient of a Scholarship or Financial Aid, you are an Ambassador of Centner Academy, positively representing the school within and outside of the school setting

Scholarship and Financial Aid Recipients:

• Commit to volunteer hours

• Act as a School Ambassador by promoting the school in the community

• Promote a positive, constructive, collaborative School culture

• Student shall maintain a 3.0 or greater GPA

Auction Donations

We are leaning into our community and asking for donations. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We were able to raise over $90,000 from the Live and Silent Auctions and each and every item donated last year contributed to the great success.

We need your support, as we have a huge goal of raising $600,000 to aid students to be a part of this very special community.
