Sensors are able to detect movement and any surrounding walls which will sense signals to the Arduino or LCD to create a control and type of demand in-terms of what the sensor detects. The sensor can be utilised for different types of projects and can be used in different ways. In my project I utilised the sensors to detect hand movement so that when I wave my hand up and down the sensor, will communicate with the Arduino board to move the car to a specific direction. The sensor give the project a technical feature to it and can potentially be used to the users advantage.
I first drew out my wiring arrangements for my project so that I am able to wire in a organised way without running into issues during the process. It was vital to colour code the wires so that correct connection were made. I then started stripping the wires so that they were ready for wiring and I also used male wires for quick connections as they were more time efficient compared to generic wires. To increasing my efficiency I stuck the breadboard to a plate of wood by removing the stickers underneath the breadboard. After I was happy with the wiring I fixed the LCD to the breadboard in accordance to my wiring arrangements.
