A NOTE FROM THE MAYOR
DEAR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS,
On the heels of our annual Beware! of the Square event, let me thank the many staff, sponsors, vendors, public safety servants, residents, and friends who all helped make it our most fun Halloween celebration to date.
In just a few weeks, we will all gather back on our historic Downtown Square for Christmas on the Square. For decades, celebrations like it have centered around tree lightings, Christmas carols, Downtown lights and decorations, and a visit from Santa Claus to ring in the holiday. You can read about the longstanding holiday traditions in our feature article in this issue, and hopefully, you’ll join us throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons as we continue these glorious traditions.
Thank you for taking a moment to enjoy the pages of this edition of Life Connected. Magazine. Although I love all of the seasons of the year in Celina, the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in our community truly are the most wonderful time of the year. If you are new or just passing through, let me especially welcome you, and thank you for spending some time with us in Celina.
As you will see on the following pages, this is such an exciting time in our vibrant city. The people who live and work in Celina are some of the finest people anywhere. They are the caretakers of the heart and heritage of our illustrious past, and they are the pioneers of an incomparable future. As you turn these pages, you will see and read about many of them; hopefully, you may meet many of them soon.

As we prepare to enjoy high school playoffs, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, let us never fail to pause and express gratitude for the blessing of this community. As tensions rage globally and parts of the world are war-torn, let us be vigilant to remember those who are serving, suffering, or dying in places far from here. Join my family and me in praying for peace on Earth this holiday season and in the coming year. May you who read this and those you love enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a very prosperous New Year.
Yours Truly,
Ryan Tubbs
