The site goes beyond just a residence for a famous architect. It is a landmark on its own. It is bringing a new English-inspired style of design to a lush landscape. My intervention would create a new purpose and function for the community. Once serving as private residences, I plan to repurpose the residences as a local community center.

This conversion not only breathes new life into the historic structures but also provides a space where people can come together, engage in various activities, and foster a sense of belonging. Signs are placed along the residence to create an understanding of the historic space. The community center will offer a range of amenities and services, such as meeting rooms, recreational facilities, educational programs, and social events, all aimed at promoting community cohesion and enhancing the quality of life for the Cornish residents while keeping the iconic landmark of the residence.

The artwork of Nighthawk by Edward Hopper encapsulated the use of a space in a moody atmosphere. The artwork comes across as a moment that is not the entire version of the piece. Similarly, the residence since teh community center would be a new change but not the complete story. The deep red reminded me of the Red Maple Trees local to Cornish. Overall, the artwork pushed me creative-

Progress Photos of Reinterpretion of Charles A. Platt Residence This project started with my basic understanding of AutoCAD and has flourished into a fully illustrated idea. This project and the course have made me a stronger designer and landscape architect. By starting with just a plan and section, I understood the site. Creating an axonometric and perspectives made the site come to life. Using multiple software, artworks, and ideas, the Charles A Platt Residence has a new significance to its community.
