swimming lessons Registration (see page 3 “Online Registration” for more information) Patrons may register online only the first day of lesson registration beginning at 7:00 am. Registration is first come, first serve basis and there is no guarantee that a spot will be available. In person and online registration will continue the following day beginning at 7:00 am. For online registration you will need to contact the Recreation Center at 682-8527 to get a username and password well in advance of registration day. A username and password cannot be generated the morning of registration. If a child is signed up in the wrong class and there is not a correct spot available, they may not be able to participate in lessons. Refunds will be available if you are unable to register for the correct class. This class is designed for children between the ages of 6 - 23 months and their parents. The purpose of this course is to familiarize children with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. In addition, this class provides safety information for parents and teaches appropriate supports/holds. Parents must accompany their child in the water.
This class is designed for children between 24 - 35 months and their parents. Children are introduced to basic swimming and safety skills and will build on skills learned in Aqua-Baby. This class will prepare and encourage your child to fully try skills by themselves and will lay the basic foundation for independent and more advanced skills. Parents must accompany their child in the water.
This class is designed for children 3 years of age. In this class, your child will improve on skills introduced in Aqua-Tot and will learn more advanced skills. Children will also build on safety topics in and around pools. Parents have the option to explore the water with their children. If a teacher feels a parent needs to participate with their child, you may be asked to join them.
