MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Dear members,
After a snowy December full of family and togetherness, I wish you a hearty welcome to 2023!

One of my favorite ways to spend the winter is with my family at the Downhill Ski Resort. The jokes riding up the chairlift, the scenic runs down and lunch at the Downhill Ski Grill on those perfect bluebird days are memories that I will cherish forever. I hope you and your loved ones will get to experience your own memories in the making this winter season.
Ski Safety Month
Skiing truly is a winter fan-favorite in Tahoe Donner, but with all the excitement, ski safety is more important than ever. January is National Safety Month through the National Ski Areas Association, so before you hit the slopes, make sure you and your family know the safety protocols and responsibility codes. Tips include:
• Always put the bar down – yes, even adults should prevent any chairlift slips
• People ahead or downhill of you have the right of way, and it is your responsibility to avoid them

2023/24 RECREATION FEE
After great feedback and discussion in October, the board of directors made an exciting change in the Recreation Fee. New for the 2023/24 Rec Fee cycle (valid May 1, 2023, through April 30, 2024), a two-person option will be available for just $295. The historically offered four-person option is also still offered with the ability to include up to eight member passes per property.
The Rec Fee is a convenient way to gain unrestricted free access to the Trout Creek Recreation Center, pools, marina, Tennis Center and Snowplay without paying daily fees. It is your family's ticket to Tahoe Donner fun!

Mailboxes In Tahoe Donner
Over the past two years, staff and I have received many questions about mailboxes, and we understand the challenge many members face in securing one. The director of capital projects recently met with the USPS postmaster at Tahoe Donner, where they discussed potential changes in policy and discovered opportunities that could allow Tahoe Donner to add mailboxes and large parcel boxes in the community.
As staff continue to work with these new opportunities, USPS mailbox tips include:
• Put a hold on your mail with the Post Office if you are leaving the area
• Report damage to mailbox clusters at the Bridge Street post office
• Thank your local post office team for their hard work this season! Visit tahoedonner.com/mailboxes-in-td to learn more.
Dining
Our goal is to provide a dining option for members seven days a week with staggered closed days.

The Lodge is always cooking up hearty flavors and cozy ambiance with menu items like the Braised Short Rib Stroganoff and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich. For fresh and healthy options to complement a day on the ski tracks, Alder Creek Cafe has a variety of options, from a pre-ski Breakfast Burrito to a post-adventure Superfood Salad or Veggie Panini. Top it all off with Pizza on the Hill’s classic options, like pizzas, as well as pastas, salads and sweet treats, and you’re covered from breakfast to dessert all week long! Find more menu options and dining hours on page 20.
As we look to an exciting 2023, I remain grateful for our staff, board, volunteers and membership who work so hard to make Tahoe Donner an unforgettable place to work and play. I look forward to seeing your smiling faces on the trails and around the association this great year.
Be well,
DAVID MICKAELIAN | GENERAL MANAGER
