New Management

The Rec Center recently welcomed new staff manager Josh Geiszler and assistant manager Courtney Copp to the team. Geiszler stepped into the manager role in October 2022 following his positions with the Downhill Ski Resort and Recreation departments, and Copp has recently joined the Tahoe Donner community from the University of Arizona.

“I’m excited to elevate our service while continuing to maintain and improve the offerings for our members and guests –from the ellipticals to fitness classes to the hot tubs and newly reopened steam room,” says Geiszler.

Steam Room Now Open

After a long closure to replace the steam generator, the steam room has reopened! Did you know steam rooms can improve circulation, lower blood pressure, reduce stress, promote skin health, aid in workout recovery and loosen stiff joints? Decompress from a day of adventure or soothe your body and mind with a relaxing session.

Hours Of Operation

Gym: 6AM-9PM

Lap Pool: 6AM-7:45PM

Rec Pool: 10:15AM-7PM No lifeguard on duty

Spas, Sauna + Steam Room: 6AM-8:45PM

Rule Change Regarding Minors

To safely accommodate younger members and guests, the Rec Center is implementing a rule change regarding those 17 and younger who are using the facility. All members and guests under the age of 14 must be under the direct supervision of a legal guardian at all times. See below for rules regarding minors ages 14-17, and 13 and under:

GYM

• Members and guests ages 14-17 may use the gym but must be accompanied by and under the direct supervision of a legal guardian at all times

• Members ages 14-17 may use the gym without direct supervision only after attending a gym orientation and having the gym waiver and code of conduct signed by a parent or legal guardian

SWIMMING

• Members and guests ages 13 and under must be under direct supervision of a legal guardian at all times

• Members and guests ages 9 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult and under direct supervision of a legal guardian

• Members ages 9 and under with a valid swim sticker do not need to be accompanied in the water when lifeguards are on duty (summer months) but must always remain under direct supervision of a legal guardian
