the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with a minor in Chemistry. She is both a licensed Civil Engineer and State Water Rights Surveyor. Kate has over 22 years of experience in water and wastewater design and project management.

Kate and her husband Mike enjoy spending time outdoors skiing, fishing, and camping. They have raised three boys who have set up their families relatively close to Reno. Kate is looking forward to teaching her grandchildren to ski at Diamond Peak this year.
