WELCOME LETTER FROM ASHLEY WOOD golf clinics, programs & events

I’m excited to announce that I will be the new Head of Player Development for the Incline Village Golf Courses. I have always had a passion for coaching others of all levels to live a happy and healthy life through the game of golf, and I’m excited to get the chance to lead the Incline Village Golf Academy.

Adult and junior programs, lessons and coaching opportunities will now be offered throughout the entire year. We will have a busy summer with our returning Junior Golf Camps, Get Golf Ready clinics, Gals on the Green clinics and the PGA Junior League. I will lead these programs with the support of our other PGA professionals and amazing golf staff here in Incline Village.

Be sure to look out for some new coaching experiences on and off the course that will be rolled out as the summer progresses. This year we’re also looking to enhance some of our great junior golf programs, and continue the excellent semi-private and private golf lessons at both golf courses. If it’s time to update your equipment, look out for our Demo Day events, or sign up for a lesson and we can get you fitted into the right equipment.

My goal as your lead instructor is to make improving your game and taking advantage of learning opportunities on and off the course inviting. We have a great setup at the west end of the Driving Range that will be the central hub of instruction (and a great place to hang out) this summer. So, if your goal this year is to play more golf, lower your handicap, sign up for more tournaments, or simply just enjoy the game for years to come, please reach out!

Nine & Wine Events

This local favorite event series is back for 2022, teeing off on select Thursday evenings starting in June. Four-person teams play a nine-hole scramble before enjoying wine tastings paired with gourmet appetizers. A different vintner is featured at every event. Female Golf Clinics –Gals on the Green & Girls on the Green

Learn how to golf, or brush up on your skills, with other women at our Gals on the Green golf clinics. Different topics will be taught each session covering the essentials of the game and geared toward women. We also offer a youth version called Girls on the Green that launches in July. Get Golf Ready clinics

Meet other players with similar playing levels while learning the fundamentals of golf in a fun and non-intimidating environment. Get Golf Ready Level 1 is for those who are new to golf or returning after many years. Get Golf Ready is a series designed to teach everything you'll need to play golf in five lessons. Each lesson will focus on essential golf skills. Topics covered include putting, chipping, short iron shots, long irons, hybrids, fairway woods, driving, course etiquette, and rules. Get Golf Ready Level 2 is available for Get Golf Ready 1 graduates or golfers who have played two or more years.
