Only two homes outside the community were destroyed, including the home where the fire originated, and acreage destroyed was 29 acres. The relatively low acreage burned can be partially attributed to the teamwork of the
tanker pilots from Stead Airport dropped water, and The Club at ArrowCreek golf course served as a fire break with automatic
ACHOA and The Club At ArrowCreek in keeping the community fire safe.
