Ask The Manager
QHOW DOES OUR COMMUNITY MANAGER SUPPORT OUR ADVISORY AND PERMANENT COMMITTEES? WHAT IS HER ROLE? ArrowCreek is unique in that it currently has 10 volunteer committees. Most associations are lucky to have one or two; many
&have none. As you have heard us talk about before, ArrowCreek is lucky to have so many smart and enthusiastic people willing to donate their time to support and enhance the ArrowCreek community. All of the committees have specific tasks that are described in A their charters. The first thing the Manager does is prepare the charter template and assist the committees and board to create new committee charters or to update existing charters. Though the requirements for committees are not as extensive as the board, there are still requirements to follow to keep committees on task and in compliance with the HOA governing documents and Nevada statues. A committee training has been developed by the Manager specifically for ArrowCreek to teach committee members about their roles and how to operate. The Manager is the “historian” of information to include HOA records, HOA industry information (through CAI, Community Associations Institute) and Nevada law. The Manager assists with all aspects of committee communications to include: making sure that committee action items for the board get on the board meeting agendas, making sure that tasks requested by the board get relayed back to the committees, and making sure that committee meeting dates get published on the ArrowCreek.com website. The Manager is responsible for keeping committee minutes, reports and any project research for the HOA files. And the Manager also keeps the committee roster list updated and assists with finding new committee members and providing them with the committee application process. The Manager does not usually attend all committee meetings but does attend as requested.
