MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL DR. LEE HERNANDEZ
The first year of the school year has come and gone. I cannot be prouder of our young men, faculty, staff, and community. We started in August by welcoming the Class of 2025 and our new transfer students during the New Student Orientation. This event introduces new Buttons to our Marianist faith, our Central Catholic traditions, the infamous Section R, and what it means to be part of the Brotherhood. After the first couple of weeks, sounds of laughter filled the halls, and the sights of everyone interacting in the classrooms and during lunch were rejuvenating.
A lot has happened in the last several months. With this being my first year here, things have moved fast. The young men have evolved from walking past me hesitantly to comfortably approaching me to say good morning or good afternoon. I’ve watched our young men respectfully clean up after themselves at the end of lunch. I’ve observed them holding the door open for others. I’ve watched our teachers greet their students at the door as they enter. Teachers have invited me into their classrooms to see what great things they are doing with their students. These are just a few intangibles that I am blessed to see daily. You should know that Central Catholic has laid a tremendous foundation with these young men and for generations to come. I cannot help but be excited for the remainder of the year and what the future holds for our beloved Central Catholic.
I am truly blessed to be a part of such a storied institution! It has been fun working with the young men, meeting the families, and many of the alumni. I sincerely appreciate all of the support from everyone during the transition. I look forward to the journey as we place all of our trust in each other and our Lord. We will all walk together. May God continue to bless us, and may He bless our Central Catholic.
Grace and Peace,
Dr. Lee Hernández, Principal
