The 21-22 recruitment season has been an exciting time for the Admissions Team! While still keeping caution for the safety and well-being of all, the Admissions Team has been able to shift back to semi-normal recruitment events and return to engaging in-person with inquiring families. Furthermore, the Admissions Team, previously just Bethany Herman and Mauricio Ortega-Rios ’16, happily welcomed new teammate Stephanie Takas-Mercer in September to the admissions office.

The growth of the team has allowed for expansion in strategy and efforts. The team has been able to host more family campus tours, accomplish in-person middle school visits, utilize a new on line application system, and revive traditional events. One highly anticipated in-person program that came back to campus has been the “Be a Button” Shadow Day Program. Central Catholic has received upwards of 100 visiting 8th-grade young men who have spent an entire day engaging in classroom instruction and student life on our campus. This interaction has been an excellent way for future Buttons to experience the Brotherhood! Shadow opportunities will extend through the end of April, which the last two shadow days being set aside for 7th-grade students. The Admissions Team has witnessed many eager 7th-grade young men attending our annual Middle School Tailgate, eGamers Night, and scheduling campus tours!

Central Catholic is currently building the Class of 2026 and is seeing a positive enrollment trend with incoming freshmen and transfer students for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. It has been a successful school year thus far, and the Admissions Team wants to sincerely thank this community – students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and champions – for the continued support!
