WHO IS COBB COMMUNITY FOUNDATION? As a grant-making public charity, Cobb Community Foundation (CCF) helps individuals, families, businesses and organizations give easily and with impact using simple, cost-effective, tailored strategies leveraged by CCF’s expertise.

Established in 1993 as a local fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, we obtained our own 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation in 2005.

Corporate Giving Fund Give through great and not-so-great financial times by setting aside charitable dollars in your Corporate Giving Fund. Receive your charitable income tax deduction when you contribute to your Giving Fund, then give the dollars away when you are ready.

A Corporate Giving Fund at CCF: • Operates based on a standard agreement between you and CCF. • Has no establishment fee and a very low administration cost.

• Provides records and analysis of charitable grants made from your fund.

POTENTIAL FUNDING OPTIONS Companies can provide a percentage of profits or a specific amount.

Employees can donate a specific amount or as a payroll deduction.

Vendors can donate a specific amount.

Executive Giving Fund Like a Corporate Giving Fund, an Executive Giving Fund allows you to make a charitable gift when and how you need to, including with your low-basis company stock. Maintain your contribution in a “charitable investment account,” then initiate your grants when the time is right through our online portal, DonorView, or simply call us.

Employee Assistance Fund An Employee Assistance Fund is a tax-deductible, charitable solution that can provide emergency assistance to employees when they need it most.

HOW THE FUND WORKS

A company makes a tax-deductible contribution to establish an Employee Assistance Fund where employees can apply for emergency financial support.

Education is provided about how the Fund works, how gifts can be made and how employees in need can apply.

CCF and its local partner process and evaluate all employee applications to ensure privacy and equity.

Corporate Community Champion Program The program is designed for corporations and local businesses that believe good corporate citizenship involves supporting charitable endeavors that are impacting the community. Corporate Champions make financial commitments at various levels that help to fund community grantmaking and also support CCF’s mission. Champions are recognized through various media to ensure that their role in supporting our community is widely known.

Once applications are approved, employees receive financial assistance through payments to vendors.

TESTIMONIALS RAM Partners Corporate Giving Fund RAM Partners is a nationwide property management company based in Atlanta, devoted to transforming the properties they manage into welcoming, vibrant and thriving communities. By opening a Corporate Giving Fund with CCF, RAM is able to support nonprofits in the communities they serve while cultivating a culture of compassion in their organization.

Employees (or RAMily) are encouraged to make tax-deductible contributions to the RAM Gives Fund through payroll deductions. RAM and its partners are committed to the success of this program and are investing in the fund in a big way. These contributions remain in the RAM Gives Fund at CCF until awarded by the RAM grants committee. The committee (which consists of team members at varying locations and levels) meets quarterly to evaluate and select grant recipients from those proposed by participating employees.

RAM chose to go a step further in their giving efforts and paired their giving fund with an Employee Assistance Fund (EAF). “The employee assistance fund allows our organization to assist team members in an equitable, confidential way that is easy to communicate and administer,” says Karin Lane, RAM HR Director.

Donors Our donors make a difference in many ways, and they all have their own unique story.

From a family raised to see the healing power of the arts, to a mother dealing with the grief of a child’s death by addiction, to a couple teaching their grandchildren the importance of giving back, we partner with individuals and families to help them make the impact they want to make.

Nonprofits CCF connects directly and deeply with the organizations helping our community. A combination of personal relationships and industry standards help us to identify those inspiring confidence and making a difference.

Our agency services allow nonprofits to do more in the community by making it easier to accept complex assets, acknowledging gifts for tax purposes, making available professional institutional investment management and corporate level oversight, and offering endowment options to strengthen future programming. As a result, the nonprofit spends less time on administration and more time on its mission.

20 different colleges and universities have students with scholarships from CCF. Advisors Advisors help their clients accomplish their financial goals, and those often include charitable giving.
