Celebrating

Years

OF CAYMAN MARSHALL MAGAZINE

A decade ago, an idea took root. It wasn’t conventional, and it certainly wasn’t the easiest path, but it was one that felt worth pursuing. Cayman Marshall Magazine began with a belief that, in a world dominated by digital noise, a beautifully crafted magazine could forge a meaningful, lasting connection.

Producing this magazine required vision, trust, and determination. At first, measuring success felt impossible. The investment was significant, and there were nights I questioned whether we’d made the right decision. But we persevered, and within 18 months, the magazine began to prove itself. Sellers saw results. Advertisers thrived. That’s when we realized we hadn’t just created a magazine—we’d sparked a movement.

There have been moments along the way that defined who we are. One of my favourites was our second issue, where we featured a Canadian gold medalist fresh from her victory. She graced the front cover in a shoot that captured her strength and the vibrant energy of Muskoka. Partnering with a boat company, we added a dynamic touch with an unforgettable wakesurfing session on the lake. It was bold, exhilarating, and set the tone for everything the magazine has come to represent.

By year two, something remarkable began to happen. Readers weren’t just flipping through the magazine—they were keeping it, treasuring it. Distributed to some of the wealthiest properties across the Muskokas, South Mississauga, South Oakville, Toronto, and Burlington, the magazine became a centerpiece in the homes of those who appreciate luxury and innovation. Buyers connected with properties through its pages, and advertisers saw results beyond expectations. Competitors tried to imitate what we’d built, but they couldn’t capture its essence. As we like to say, “Cayman Marshall Magazine isn’t a formula—it’s a reflection of vision, innovation, and authenticity.”

From the beginning, we’ve approached real estate as an art form. These homes are not just properties; they are masterpieces. Every

READERS, Dear GRATEFULLY, Todd

photograph is designed to capture the beauty, emotion, and character of each space. The furniture and décor are curated to be one of a kind, telling stories that elevate the homes beyond the ordinary. Every page is crafted to inspire.

Behind every issue, there’s a story of teamwork. In those early years, every single member of our team played a part in bringing each issue to life. Deadlines felt like adventures, filled with late nights, endless revisions, and the shared drive to create something extraordinary. That spirit of collaboration continues to fuel us today.

What makes this milestone truly meaningful is the connection we’ve built with you, our readers. Seeing collections of our magazines proudly displayed in homes and cottages is humbling. Whether it’s an editorial sparking debate about evolving architecture or an idea challenging real estate norms, your engagement fuels our inspiration.

As I look ahead, I’m filled with excitement for what the next decade holds. When we launched, I assumed the future would be digital—that glossy pages might give way to screens. But you’ve shown us otherwise. There’s something irreplaceable about holding this book in your hands—the weight of it, the texture of the paper, the act of flipping through its pages. Even as we’ve embraced sustainable practices, such as switching to recycled materials, the demand for this magazine remains stronger than ever.

Cayman Marshall Magazine has become a cornerstone of who we are—a bridge between our work and the stories that matter. It has helped us connect, grow, and reimagine what’s possible. And as long as it brings value to you—our readers, our advertisers, our community—it will remain at the heart of what we do.

To everyone who has supported us on this journey, thank you. You are as much a part of this story as the team behind these pages. Here’s to ten incredible years, and to the next chapter— one that promises to be even more bold, inspiring, and unforgettable.

AThe Foundation of Luxury Finishes

home is far more than walls and a roof—it’s a canvas for its owners’ aspirations, passions, and stories. In Muskoka, where breathtaking landscapes meet exceptional architecture, Bedrock Finishes Inc. is

the company shaping the region’s most exquisite interiors. Their expertise spans insulation, drywall, painting, staining, and fine carpentry, ensuring that the final layers of a home are as meticulously executed as its foundation.

“Finishing is what people experience when they walk into a home,” says Brandon Lemesurier, Founder and President of Bedrock Finishes. “It’s the surfaces they touch, the warmth they feel, and the details that make a space unforgettable.”

Brandon has spent years immersed in Muskoka’s luxury home construction industry, working with Mazenga Building Group and Sherwood Custom Homes before establishing Bedrock Finishes. His experience in high-end residential construction deepened his understanding of how finishes define not just the look of a home, but its character and presence. With that vision, Bedrock was built to provide a fully integrated finishing experience, where everything from the first brushstroke to the final trim detail is executed with precision.

With a team of dedicated artisans, each specializing in their craft, Bedrock delivers continuity in quality and design, creating homes that feel cohesive, polished, and timeless

PROJECT RIVERDALE: A COVER-WORTHY MASTERPIECE

Featured on this issue’s cover, The Riverdale Project, designed and built by Tamarack North, is a stunning showcase of Bedrock’s artistry. Created as a modern farmhouse, it offers seamless design and meticulous detail from the moment you step inside. Arched entryways guide the eye through each space, drawing attention to the exposed wooden beams that contrast effortlessly with flawless drywall, striking the perfect balance between warmth and refinement. Every finish has been carefully considered, ensuring the home’s architectural depth and character is fully realized through Bedrock’s precision and artistry.

Every home has its own personality,” Brandon explains. “Our job is to enhance what’s already there—through colour, texture, and craftsmanship—to create a space that feels intentional and complete.

is evident in every detail. A lime-washed fireplace adds both warmth and texture, while carefully curated finishes establish a harmonious flow throughout the home. In the theater room, the intricate waffle ceiling, handcrafted and finished by Bedrock, showcases how materiality and detail bring depth to a space. Collaborating closely with Sturgeons Decorating, each stain was chosen to highlight the home’s natural elements— exposed beams, rugged stone, and rich textures—ensuring a finish that feels cohesive and intentionally executed.

At Lake Joe Chateau, another standout project, Bedrock’s expertise was integral in bringing its vision to life. Tasked with insulation, drywall, painting, staining, and fine carpentry, their meticulous approach ensured that every surface reflected the home’s natural grandeur. The extensive staining work played a pivotal role in accentuating the rustic beauty of the hardwood floors, seamlessly tying in the warmth of the wood with the commanding presence of the stonework. These rich, natural textures create an atmosphere that is both polished and deeply rooted in Muskoka’s heritage a striking contrast to the modern, minimalist designs often seen in today’s newbuilds.

A Personalized to Finishing Approach

Finishing is what defines a home’s final impression. It’s what transforms raw materials into a fully realized vision, giving every surface depth, texture, and refinement. Bedrock Finishes understands that this stage requires more than technical precision—it demands an artistic eye and a seamless execution.

To ensure the process is as refined as the result, Bedrock’s showroom (located at 2368 Hwy 11 N, Gravenhurst, ON) serves as a collaborative space where builders, designers, and homeowners can explore paint colors, wood stains, and specialty finishes in natural light. This hands-on approach ensures that every selection works in harmony with the home’s architecture and environment—from the way light interacts with colour to the subtle details that define a space.

“We want clients to be part of the process,” says Brandon. “Our showroom is a space where ideas come to life, where clients can see and feel the possibilities before decisions are made.”

Beyond the showroom, Bedrock enhances the experience by bringing samples directly to the spaces where they will be installed. This approach ensures finishes are selected under the home’s actual lighting and environmental conditions, eliminating the guesswork and giving clients confidence in every decision. It’s the difference between imagining and knowing. For Bedrock Finishes, it’s not just about completing a home it’s about perfecting it.

Their dedicated service crew and tightly integrated trades keep projects running seamlessly, turning what is often the most chaotic stage of a build into an effortless process. With clear communication and a unified approach, they eliminate finger-pointing between drywall and painting, avoiding unexpected add-ons while keeping everything on budget. By holding one company accountable from start to finish, they allow homeowners and builders to focus on the vision without the stress of managing multiple moving parts.

Elevating Interiors Through Texture and Artistry

Beyond traditional finishing, Bedrock’s sister company, Santuario Decorative Surfaces, introduces a level of depth and artistry that transforms surfaces into statement pieces. Specializing in hand-troweled finishes, specialty paints, and plaster artwork, Santuario creates textures that bring walls, ceilings, and fireplaces to life.

Whether it’s the polished elegance of microcement, the organic softness of lime wash, or the rich depth of clay and Venetian plaster, each finish is designed to add layers of dimension to a space. Custom plaster artwork offers an opportunity to go further, turning walls into one-of-a-kind canvases that enhance a home’s aesthetic in an entirely unique way. Every application is approached with the same philosophy that defines Bedrock Finishes—that luxury is found in the details.

MUSKOKA ROOTS, MUSKOKA CRAFTSMANSHIP

Bedrock Finishes is shaped by deep connections to Muskoka’s architectural heritage and building community. The team’s knowledge of the region’s materials, styles, and natural surroundings allows them to create finishes that feel authentic to the landscape while maintaining a refined elegance.

Beyond their projects, Bedrock is deeply invested in the community—supporting local businesses, sponsoring the Muskoka Bay Golf Club annually, and maintaining an active membership with the Muskoka Builders’ Association. Their commitment extends beyond craftsmanship to meaningful collaboration and contribution.

Finishing isn’t an afterthought. It’s what brings a home’s vision to completion—the defining layer that elevates a space from well-designed to truly remarkable. Through custom staining, painting, and specialty decorative surfaces, Bedrock Finishes ensures that every home they touch is a reflection of carefully considered craftsmanship and enduring beauty.

THE WORLD OF IS ON A LEVEL OF LUXURY ALL ON ITS OWN.

Whether you want a semi-custom design or to create a space entirely of your imagination, yacht builders around the globe are ready to cater to your on-water accommodations desires. If you’re in the market for a waterway cruiser, the following luxury yacht companies will be of interest.

The Ferretti Group is a prominent Italian yacht manufacturer recognized for its blend of innovation, luxury, and craftsmanship. Established in 1968, Ferretti is headquartered in Forlì, Italy, and operates globally with a portfolio of seven prestigious brands: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, and Custom Line. These brands cover a broad range of yachts, from composite-hulled vessels under 100 feet to custom-built superyachts exceeding 300 feet.

The Ferretti Yachts 670, unveiled at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, was launched to mark the company’s 50th anniversary. It’s a completely updated version of the 2018 model. New features include a redesigned exterior and interior, including a two-level primary suite.

With an overall length of 66 feet, five inches and a maximum beam of 17 feet, eight inches, the Ferretti Yachts 670 has a sleek exterior designed by the Ferretti Group in partnership with architect Filippo Salvetti. Interiors were crafted by Ideaeitalia.

Starting at the cockpit on the main deck, a sliding glass door opens into a spacious lounge featuring two large facing sofas with a central coffee table. The TV, discreetly hidden behind the portside sofa, can be raised with an up-down mechanism when needed. Two wide steps lead up to the galley, now designed with a more functional layout that integrates with the dining area to create an expansive open space. This area includes a table and a cozy L-shaped sofa.

On the starboard side, the helm station showcases state-of-the-art technology, including integrated Naviop-Simrad instrumentation. A standout feature of the helm is the windshield, designed without a central pillar to enhance visibility during navigation.

Both the lounge and galley benefit from expanded seating and storage options,

adding to their comfort and utility. From the helm station, a door provides direct access to the starboard external walkway for technical operations. Additionally, the space beneath the staircase on the lower deck has been cleverly utilized for storage.

The owner’s suite, located midships, is remarkably spacious for its class, offering a total area of 18 square metres. It includes a private study area, a centrally positioned bed, a walk-in wardrobe aft, and an ensuite bathroom.

The central hallway on the lower deck leads to two additional cabins: the double cabin is situated on the starboard side, while the VIP cabin is located at the bow. Both feature ensuite bathrooms with separate showers.

The Infynito 80 introduces several innovative features, including the option to choose between an open or semi-open sundeck and expansive outdoor areas, all sheltered and protected by the hardtop or superstructure. With an overall length of just over 77 feet and a maximum beam of 20 feet, nine inches, the exterior design is the work of architect Filippo Salvetti, with

interiors crafted by Ideaitalia.

As the second model in the Ferretti Yachts range, the Infynito 80 integrates eco-friendly F.S.E.A. (Ferretti Sustainable Enhanced Architecture) technology. Features include a fast displacement hull optimized for fuel efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Sustainable materials are a key focus, with natural fabrics, regenerated leather, recyclable components, ecological water-based paints, and FSC 5-certified laminated teak. Additionally, panels installed on the hard top and the All-Season Terrace roof store solar energy in an energy bank.

The main deck of the Infynito 80 highlights the range’s hallmark features: versatile configurations, seamless integration between interior and exterior spaces, and the iconic All-Season Terrace.

The stern stands out with its generous 18-square-metre beach area, featuring a sea-view sofa with integrated storage. A stern platform equipped with a linear lift allows for easy tender launching and retrieval, as well as direct and convenient access to the water.

From the beach area, steps on either side lead up to the expansive cockpit, furnished with freestanding furniture such as Talenti sofas and low tables. A wide door opens into the main lounge, a spacious 26-square-metre area surrounded by large glass windows that flood the space with natural light, and uninterrupted views of the surroundings.

In the midsection, the dining area features a Cattelan Italia table, which seats six. Alternatively, an optional “country kitchen” layout replaces the table with a bar counter and stools for a more casual, social atmosphere. The main galley is fully equipped, offers ample storage, and can be elegantly separated from the living area by a sliding glass door. The All-Season Terrace includes a standard dinette area with an optional cocktail bar.

The new Kismet model is a majestic and

timeless 122-metre superyacht built for a longstanding Lürssen client. Designed by Nuvolari Lenard, it features sleek and elegant exterior lines and a leaping jaguar bow figure. The sophisticated and refined interiors are by Reymond Langton Design. Key highlights include a seven-star wellness suite complete with a hammam, sauna, and cryotherapy chamber.

There’s a private treatment room equipped with a massage table, waterfall shower, and chromotherapy bathtub. Kismet also has a state-of-the-art gym and yoga studio, a Nemo cinema on the lower deck featuring a 150-inch television, and an underwater seating area. It features a cutting-edge hybrid powertrain combined with a full electric mode.

Founded in 1978 by Frans Heesen, Netherlands-based Heesen Yachts is a leading builder of luxury yachts known for combining innovative technology, exceptional design, and a commitment to sustainability. Oceanco Clarity Ferretti 670

Heesen Yachts’ newest project is the Santosha, a highly personalized superyacht crafted to meet the unique tastes and preferences of the yacht’s new owners. Highlights of the Santosha include almost 400 square metres of luxury interior, a shallow draft (very Bahamas-friendly!), and a top speed of 22 knots.

Santosha will officially debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2025.

Oceanco is a Dutch luxury yacht builder renowned for its custom-designed superyachts that blend cutting-edge innovation with eco-conscious features. Oceanco’s vessels are characterized by their bespoke designs and sustainable technologies.

One of its new models falls under the 80-metre Simply Custom collection: Clarity, designed by Espen-Øino. Clarity is characterized by her energy-efficient design, including very large superstructure overhangs that provide shade and reduce heat gain inside the yacht on the decks below.

Extensive, shaded exterior space is also incorporated throughout. This includes the main deck lounge that, envisioned as a large winter garden, can be opened to make use of the wind as natural ventilation.

Benetti Yachts has established itself as a renowned Italian crafter of bespoke and custom yachts for 150 years. Named the world’s leading builder of custom mega-yachts for ten consecutive years, the company specializes in yachts ranging from 28 metres to over 100 metres in three categories: custom yachts (fully bespoke, tailored to the owner’s exact preferences), semi-custom models, and series yachts, which cater to a wide range of styles and uses.

In late 2024, Benetti released a new range of superyachts, beginning with a 65-metre model called the B.Loft 65M. Revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2024, the series aims to revolutionize the on-board experience. It offers lofty four-metre-high ceilings inspired by open-concept metropolitan residential spaces.

The B.Loft 65M features a cabana-style beach club with a pair of fold-out wings for panoramic oceanfront access. A glass-bottom pool allows natural light to filter into the beach club from the main deck, which features a multifunctional 120-square-metre al fresco area. The space also benefits from a skylight that has a secondary pool above. B.Loft has room for 12 guests in six cabins, plus nine extra to accommodate a crew of 13.

With any one of these vessels, you and your guests will be sailing the seas in ultimate luxury. With so much to offer and space to roam, you may never want to give up your sea legs.

FasHion Art Week dazzles Toronto Showgoers

The four-day event showcased work by some of the newest and most innovative talents in both the fashion and art worlds.

The latest in Fashion

BOTH IN CLOTHING AND ON CANVAS WAS SHOWCASED AT FASHION ART

TORONTO’S 1664 FASHION WEEK FALL 2024

which took place November 14–17 at T3 Bayside, a stunning waterfront venue in downtown Toronto that features 360-degree views of the city skyline.

Known as a vibrant platform for avant-garde fashion and art, this year’s event lived up to its reputation. More than forty-five Canadian designers, immersive installations, and a massive retail showcase were on display, on the event floor and on the runway. The gorgeous modern space presented runway shows, installations, art, shopping, and more to surprise, intrigue, and entertain Toronto’s fashion community.

“The energy at Fashion Art Week was palpable, radiating a sense of togetherness and celebrating individuality through fashion and art," says Vanja Vasic, founder and Executive Director, Fashion Art Toronto. “One of the standout aspects of the event was the freedom attendees had to express themselves unapologetically. The audience’s creative and bold outfits added another layer of artistry to the event, making the crowd itself an integral part of the experience. This season truly embodied the essence of Fashion Art Week as a safe space for selfexpression and individuality.”

The four-day event spotlighted bold and innovative designs from both emerging and established talent. Friday marked the launch of the 1664 Iconic Accessory Showcase, where designers like StudioMema and Imago Millinery presented stunning accessory collections under the theme Good Taste with a Twist.

A memorable highlight of this year’s event was the introduction of a new award dedicated to emerging Canadian fashion brands and designers, reflecting Fashion Art Week’s commitment to fostering creativity and supporting the next generation of talent.

“Among the many impressive collections, Sabrina Ballesteros stood out with her innovative designs,” says Vasic. “Her collection featured premium leathers, skillfully balancing softness and structure to create a strikingly distinctive aesthetic.”

What set Ballesteros apart was her integration of live performance art into the runway show. “The models’ choreographed movements transformed the presentation into an immersive experience, adding depth and narrative to the collection,” Vasic notes. “This fusion of fashion and performance art highlighted the androgynous and conceptual artistry of Ballesteros’ work, leaving a profound emotional impact on the audience.”

Designers focused on themes like urban experimentation, cultural storytelling, and sustainability through upcycling and reimagining garments. Standout collections included: MEESH X SKINNYBOI, blending bold streetwear with cultural commentary; Anna Pazhava, who emphasized intricate craftsmanship with a surrealist edge; and Narvan and Zedes, who showcased sustainability-driven couture.

“Accessories became powerful statements of self-expression, and collections celebrated individuality through innovative and daring designs,” Vasic says. “This evolution reflects the broader cultural acceptance of varied fashion expressions and underscores the importance of personal narratives in shaping the future of fashion.”

The Fashion Playground was a centrepiece of the week, blending art installations with fashion. Exhibits by artists like Nick Merzetti and Maya Skarzenski added depth, encouraging dialogue between fashion and contemporary art.

Creations from local designers, including accessories, apparel, and beauty products, were available for sale at The Fashion & Beauty Boutique. Brands like Ella & Lett Jewelry and LOLADORA Fashion highlighted the diversity of Canadian artisanship. The boutique not only supported local talent, but also provided an interactive shopping experience for fashion enthusiasts from more than twenty Canadian artisans and brands, including All Too Blue, Anziety, BAMBU Jewelry, darlings of denmark, DIFFERENT., Ella & Lett Jewelry, Holistic Needlecraft, Kolleen Boutique, Leela Jacobs, LOLADORA Fashion, Maverick Eden, Miya Ko Nes, MizDragonfly, Pattern Nation, Perpetual Itch, Quartz & Canary, Queen Nandi Beauty, REPULO’S, Sacré & Relic, Soul Art One, Stoned & Grounded, ULA, Uzair Naseem, and Wicked Lovely.

Beyond the runway, guests enjoyed live music, a curated bar by event sponsor Kronenbourg 1664, and networking panels. The event’s blend of fashion and entertainment drew a wide audience from industry professionals to the general public, affirming Toronto’s role as a creative hub.

Designers and brands also presenting their collections included 1ndividual Aesthetic, Aadhe, Ahiri, AMATUS | GRAY, Anna Pazhava, Ballesteros, Brandon Kier, Farda Design, GORM, Hotpot Variety, Kelly Henderson, Kendrick Tran, KRATER, MEESH X SKINNYBOI, Ms. Meri Mak, Narvan, Prabh Designs, Raven

Court Clothing, RT Atelier Co, Sagradesa, Stitsenko, STYNTSOV, Tailored Noise, The Wave Riders, Vibe The People, Zedes, and Zoe Stone.

Off the runway, guests experienced captivating fashion presentations from RéELLE, Sons of Man and ZOFF, as well as stylish art installations from Desitita By Mohit, LUNARA, Maya Skarzenski, Nick Merzetti, Tia Kureshi, Tristan Réhel and Vessna Perunovich, among others.

Fashion Art Toronto’s 1664 Fashion Week continues to elevate Canadian fashion by fostering innovation and celebrating diversity. Its Fall 2024 edition demonstrated the power of collaboration between designers, artists, and the community to create an unforgettable cultural experience.

Vasic summed up the week by observing that this year, the fashion industry is seeing a clear shift toward prioritizing personal style over adhering to trends.

“THIS YEAR WAS ALL ABOUT EMBRACING INDIVIDUALITY AND CRAFTING LOOKS THAT RESONATE WITH PERSONAL IDENTITY. AT FASHION ART TORONTO, THIS SHIFT WAS EVIDENT IN THE BOLD AND DIVERSE EXPRESSIONS SEEN BOTH ON AND OFF THE RUNWAY.”

MISSISSAUGA’S OF STRENGTH AND WORLD CHAMPION

AMANDA GALLE SACR

In the heart of Mississauga, the crowd roars as Amanda Galle steps into the ring, her movements a symphony of precision and power. Every step, every punch, is the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Her journey began far from the bright lights of championship fights. At just six years old, Amanda took her first steps into a small dojo, guided by her father, Bruno. He introduced her to martial arts, shaping her mindset and work ethic from an early age. Under the mentorship of Head Coach Vito Brancaccio at All Canadian Martial

Arts (ACMA) in Mississauga, she spent her childhood on the mats, developing both her skill and mental toughness.

By her teenage years, she had already earned a 4th-degree black belt in karate and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. But Amanda wasn’t one to stay in her comfort zone. Her drive to challenge herself led her to an entirely new arena—boxing. From the moment she stepped into the ring, she knew she had found something that demanded more than just physical ability.

“From day one, Amanda had a hunger most

people never find,” says Brancaccio. “You could see it in her eyes—failure wasn’t an option, and obstacles weren’t going to stop her.”

While her peers spent their evenings out with friends, Amanda was under the harsh glow of gym lights, her fists wrapped, pushing through grueling training sessions. The routine was demanding, repetitive, and often isolating.

“Sacrifice isn’t glamorous,” Amanda shares. “It’s the commitment to show up, to keep pushing when quitting seems easier.

SUCCESS

“ “ isn’t built in the spotlight,” Amanda explains. “It’s built in the hours no one sees, in the decisions you make when no one’s looking.

Glory FROM GRIEF TO THE FIGHT THAT FUELS HER

"It’s not just about hard work—it’s about heart work. Every punch I throw, every round I fight, is driven by love and passion because boxing isn’t just what I do—it’s part of who I am.”

On December 8, 2024, Amanda stepped into the ring to defend her IBO female super-bantamweight world title. Her opponent was fierce, determined to rewrite history—but Amanda had spent years preparing for this moment.

The fight tested her stamina, focus, and sheer willpower. Each round demanded a level of composure and precision that only comes from years of training in silence, from sacrifices made when no one was watching.

When the final bell rang, Amanda climbed the ropes, fists raised, already knowing the outcome. Then, the announcer’s voice echoed through the arena: “And still… undefeated!”

Her record remains untouched: 11 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw. But while Amanda fought battles inside the ring, her mother, Lena, was fighting an even greater one— stage 3 breast cancer.

“My mom taught me what real strength looks like,” Amanda reflects. “She faced every challenge with courage, even when it felt impossible. That kind of strength stays with you forever.”

Lena’s diagnosis changed everything. Suddenly, every fight Amanda stepped into felt different. The physical pain of training paled in comparison to the emotional toll of watching her mother endure chemotherapy and surgeries. Boxing became more than a sport—it became her solace, a way to process the pain, the fear, and the helplessness of watching someone she loved fight for her life.

In March 2022, Lena lost her battle with cancer. The loss was devastating, leaving a void that could never be filled. But in the midst of grief, Amanda found a new purpose—an absolute determination to never lose a fight.

“My mom never stopped fighting, even when the odds were against her,” Amanda says. “Now, every time I step into the ring, I fight for her. I refuse to lose—because I know what it means to fight when everything is on the line.”

Through it all, Amanda’s father, Bruno, remained the family’s backbone. He held them together through the hardest days, supporting both Amanda’s dreams and Lena’s fight. His strength and steady presence reminded Amanda why she started.

“My dad has always been my rock,” Amanda shares. “No matter how hard things got, he never let me give up on myself. He made

velop the mental resilience and discipline needed to succeed in life.

“Amanda doesn’t just teach kids how to fight,” says Brancaccio. “She teaches them how to fight for themselves, for their goals, and for their place in the world.”

For Amanda, coaching is about more than perfecting technique. She understands what it means to push through adversity, and she passes that lesson on to every young athlete she trains. She believes that boxing—like life—is about learning how to get back up after being knocked down.

Her story is not just about the victories

sure I kept fighting—just like my mom did.” From that moment on, every match became more than a competition. It was a tribute. A promise. A way to honour the strength her mother had shown every single day.

As Amanda’s career soared, she remained deeply rooted in the community that shaped her. Beyond the ring, she is dedicated to mentorship and advocacy, using her platform to inspire the next generation of fighters. As an instructor at ACMA, she trains young athletes, teaching them not just how to throw a punch, but how to de-

people see under the bright arena lights. It’s about the unseen hours of sweat, sacrifice, and perseverance. It’s about the nights when exhaustion begged her to stop, but she kept going. It’s about fighting battles outside the ring—against fear, doubt, and grief—and emerging stronger.

For families with children in sports, Amanda’s journey is a reminder of what true dedication looks like. Success doesn’t come from talent alone—it comes from grit, commitment, effort, and the willingness to sacrifice for something greater.

PARADISE ON EARTH IN VIRGIN GORDA

One of the advantages of Cayman Marshall’s status as a vacation property specialist is that we offer a front-row seat on some of the world’s most exclusive destinations. But as CM sales representative Steve Haddock explains, nothing quite compares to the paradise he discovered on Virgin Gorda, one of the prettiest of the British Virgin Islands.

“It was really like nothing I had ever come across before,” he says about the exqui-

site resort community he discovered during a Caribbean sailing trip last year. He quickly struck up a friendship with the community’s developers; for their part, they were impressed with Cayman’s expertise and proven track record. They were happy to partner with us to bring this special destination to Canadians.

With some 400 acres of land surrounded on three sides by the crystalline waters of the Caribbean, this island community of-

fers the perfect blend of relaxed privacy and close-knit community both a world away, and just a few hours from home. Most major airlines offer flights to BVI; from there, complete your journey either aboard the resort’s private boat service, or fly in direct to the on-site, internationally certified helipad.

And there’s so much to do once you arrive, no matter what kind of a vacation getaway you prefer. At the Marina Village, you’ll find

the perfect blend of world class service, great socializing, dining, and shopping, all imbued with that famous laid-back BVI charm. Marina Village is where you’ll find berths and mooring balls for both shortand long-term rental, and a comprehensive selection of custom marina and concierge and ferry services.

Start your day with a leisurely stroll along the mile-long private white sand beach, followed by some pampering at the spa.

Or spend the day snorkelling on a coral reef, paddleboarding, or sailing. Later, meet friends for lobster at the Nova Restaurant, catch up on a little shopping, or relax in a cabana at the Beach Club. Then, just as the sun sets over the ocean, book a taxi tour of Virgin Gorda’s sizzling hot spots.

The word is getting out just a few properties remain for sale in this exclusive island community (see next page for a closer look at the options), along with a few coveted

rental opportunities.

On the following pages you'll find a sampling of the very few opportunities that still remain in this exclusive resort community nestled in the heart of BVI’s Virgin Gorda. To find out more and discover your very own corner of paradise on earth, contact Steve Haddock today. He can help you reserve your spot for purchase while there is still availability.

Most people think hosting demands lots of work, time, and effort but it doesn’t have to! The trick is to start small, gain comfort, and gradually add elements as you feel ready. Casual or impromptu gatherings often create just as much joy for guests as a carefully planned five-course meal. Even with a busy schedule, there’s no need to miss out on entertaining loved ones.

In France, cocktail parties are called "cinq à sept,” after the classic cocktail hour from five to seven. This style of get-together is low-pressure and eliminates

the need for a full meal, making it ideal for newer hosts or those who want a more relaxed, intimate vibe. Cocktail parties are some of our favourite evenings always brimming with laughter, easy conversation, and memories made.

One of the best aspects of hosting a cocktail party is its flexibility. Your menu can adjust to fit the guest list, from a few friends in the backyard to a larger group in the kitchen. No formal seating is required, and impromptu guests are always welcome. As we like to say, our door only opens inward!

THE SETTING

For a cocktail party that feels effortless yet chic, aim to create a relaxed atmosphere that encourages mingling. Opt out of traditional seating and let guests move freely as they enjoy cocktails and canapés in various areas of your home. Keep décor simple: small floral arrangements and votive candles add elegance, while soft candlelight enhances the evening’s mood.

Set the tone with the right playlist. Background music should be enjoyable but never overpowering. Look for a mix that’s mellow and lets the conversation flow easily. (Search “Seb and Sheila” on Mixcloud for our go-to Dinner Series Playlists!)

As for serving, present canapés on classic platters or trays placed around high-traffic areas like the kitchen island or coffee table. If you’re working with a large space, spread food out so there’s always something nearby.

To maintain flow, keep the bar and food stations separate to avoid crowding. Small floral clusters at key spots, like the bar and serving areas, give guests gentle cues on where to gather. For simple sophistication, we suggest finding easy, elegant greens.

ON THE MENU

Hosting a cocktail party is all about mingling, so we recommend choosing canapés that can be prepared in advance and served at room temperature, allowing you to spend more time with guests.

Here’s a perfect lineup for easy, crowd-pleasing bites:

Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus:

Blanch asparagus, wrap in prosciutto, and finish with olive oil and Parmesan. Serving them as single stems makes them easy finger food.

Endive Cups with Goat Cheese or Feta:

Filled with a goat cheese-herb mixture or feta, and topped with nuts and honey, these cups are tasty, elegant, and easy to eat.

Cucumber Cups with Crab Salad:

Hollow out cucumbers and fill with crab salad. They take a bit more prep but are worth the effort for their flavour and presentation.

Stuffed Red Onion Cups with Mashed Peas:

Marinate red onion cups in vinegar for a colour pop and fill with mashed peas – delicious and vibrant!

Bacon-Wrapped Pretzel Sticks:

Serve these in silver cups with rosemary sprigs for an eye-catching twist.

For a fun DIY element, offer a self-serve bruschetta bar with three toppings, allowing guests to customize their own bites. For larger gatherings, we suggest adding a charcuterie board to round out the menu.

DRINKS

While canapés are key, the main attraction at a cocktail party should, of course, be the cocktails! If you love trying something new, use the occasion to experiment with innovative mixes that your guests will love.

Start with a welcome drink to encourage guests to venture outside their usual cocktail preferences. A grapefruit spritzer is perfect: add a sugar cube and a few dashes of bitters to each champagne flute, pour in a splash of fresh grapefruit juice, then top with Champagne when guests arrive for a delightful fizz effect.

In addition to the welcome cocktail, offer two specialty options. First up, offer a refreshing southern lemonade, made with whisky and served chilled from a punch bowl or carafe. Set it out with lemon wedges so guests can garnish their own drinks.

The second cocktail, a Chambord spritz, is a simple, crowd-pleasing mix of Chambord liqueur, white wine, soda, and blackberries. These can be batched and set out for easy self-serve.

For those who prefer a classic, have a few basic wines and liqueurs on hand.

Tip: Stick to a mix of batched cocktails and easy-mix drinks to avoid bartending all night! For batched cocktails, serve soda separately so guests can control the strength.

THE 2025 HUMMER EV:

A Bold Step Towards Sustainable Luxury

The newest member of the Hummer fleet sets out to prove that sustainability and power can indeed go hand in hand.

In a world increasingly focused on sustainability and environmental responsibility, the automotive industry is undergoing a significant transformation. Among the most notable entrants into this evolving landscape is the 2025 Hummer EV, a vehicle that marries the rugged heritage of the Hummer brand with cutting-edge electric technology. The newly designed 2025 Hummer EV has the potential to offer significant implications for the future of both the brand and the automotive industry as a whole.

The Hummer nameplate has long been synonymous with brute strength and off-road capability. Originally designed as a military vehicle, it quickly transitioned into a civilian icon in the early 2000s, celebrated for its imposing size and rugged aesthetics. However, the brand faced significant challenges as environmental concerns grew and consumer preferences shifted towards more sustainable options. The introduction of the 2025 Hummer EV marks a pivotal moment in the brand’s evolution, demonstrating that it is possible to maintain the bold character of the Hummer while embracing a more eco-friendly approach.

At the heart of the 2025 Hummer EV is a state-of-theart electric powertrain that provides instant torque, resulting in impressive acceleration and performance. The vehicle’s fully electric system enables drivers to navigate urban environments with zero emissions, while still having the capability to tackle rugged terrain when adventure calls. This duality is a testament to the versatility of the Hummer, appealing to both eco-conscious consumers and off-road enthusiasts alike.

One of the standout features of the 2025 Hummer EV is its advanced battery technology. With a significant electric range, it can handle daily commutes and extended road trips on a single charge. By eliminating reliance on fossil fuels for everyday driving, the Hummer not only addresses environmental concerns but also aligns itself with the values of a new generation of consumers who prioritize sustainability.

Applewood Auto in Mississauga is one of the dealerships leading the charge in promoting the 2025 Hummer EV. Known for its commitment to customer satisfaction and a diverse inventory, Applewood Auto is well-positioned to showcase Hummer’s innovative features and eco-friendly capabilities. Applewood’s knowledgeable staff can guide potential buyers through the benefits of electric technology, ensuring that customers understand how the 2025 Hummer EV can fit into their lifestyle while making a positive impact on the environment.

The 2025 Hummer EV is equipped with state-of-theart technology that enhances the driving experience. Features include adaptive cruise control with Super Cruise capability, enhanced automatic parking assist, and automatic emergency braking. These advanced safety features ensure that the Hummer meets modern safety standards, making it a reliable choice for families and adventurers alike.

The design of the 2025 Hummer EV reflects a blend of luxury and innovation. Its interior boasts an Infinity Roof with high-definition screens and a Bose 14-speaker system, creating a completely immersive experience. This focus on modern amenities and technology ensures that the Hummer appeals to consumers who value both comfort and performance.

The introduction of the 2025 Hummer EV is not without its challenges. The Hummer brand has a storied history, and some purists may question whether an electric model can truly embody the spirit of the original vehicle. Critics may argue that the shift towards electric technology dilutes the brand’s rugged image. Yet, it is essential to recognize that the automotive landscape is changing, and brands must adapt to survive. The 2025 Hummer EV represents a strategic pivot that acknowledges the realities of climate change and consumer demand for greener options.

The 2025 Hummer EV is more than just a vehicle; it is a statement about the future of the automotive industry. By embracing electric technology, Hummer is not only preserving its legacy but also positioning itself as a leader in the sustainable luxury market. With dealerships like Applewood Auto ready to support this transition, potential buyers can explore Hummer’s innovative features firsthand. As consumers continue to seek out vehicles that align with their values, the Hummer EV stands as a bold example of how heritage and innovation can coexist. The road ahead may be challenging, but with the 2025 Hummer EV, Hummer is ready to navigate it with confidence and style, proving that sustainability and power can indeed go hand in hand.

THE 2025 HUMMER EV

As the Hawaiian island recovers, visitors can be part of the healing.

Aloha

After the devastating August 2023 wildfire that destroyed much of historic Lahaina, tourists were asked to avoid the western part of the Hawaiian island for three months to allow for recovery efforts.

Recovery is underway and new construction has started. In western Maui as with the rest of the island restaurants, hotels, retailers, and activities are running as before.

Canadians have always had big love for Maui, but they may be conflicted about travelling there at a sensitive time. But on a recent visit, I heard repeatedly that it’s okay to come here and be happy in this Pacific paradise. Maui needs tourism to survive.

Except for Lahaina, which remains closed to visitors with the devastation hidden behind black construction fencing, Maui is welcoming people, asking them to travel with care and compassion.

“We’re not necessarily sad. Broken, yes, but the rebuild is starting. Everything’s starting to come to life again,” said Lahaina resident Janelle Hiapo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. The luxury Kā’anapali Beach resort is just a few kilometres up the beach from the Lahaina townsite.

There have been new beginnings. Artist Donna Meistrich’s Front Street art gallery was destroyed in the fire. At age 70, she’s decided to further her lifelong study of astronomy by going back to school to get her degree. As one of the leaders of the nightly Tour of the Stars from The Hyatt’s rooftop astronomy centre, Meistrich already knows her stuff. With her help, we looked through two giant telescopes to see the magnificent Ring Nebula and rings of Saturn.

The five-kilometre golden stretch of Kā’anapali Beach makes a great base for a Maui getaway. High-end hotels are bracketed by lush mountains, with views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai across a turquoise ocean. The beachfront walking path leads to shopping, cocktails, and dining at Whaler’s Village, where you can cool off with a syrup-topped shave not “shaved” ice. And be sure to indulge in chunks of sweet Maui Gold Pineapple at every opportunity.

We watched Hawaiian green sea turtles, called honu, leisurely swimming in a shallow bay on our Teralani Sailing Adventure Tours catamaran schooner trip off Kā’anapali Beach. In winter, this stretch of ocean is prime humpback watching area. It was a thrill to see a mom and juvenile dolphin riding our front wake, and since we only saw two animals, the captain said he’d throw in a free sailing whether we came back in a week, or in a year.

That welcoming spirit of aloha is evident across Maui. And Maui could use some of that from us.

“Come to Maui. Be a visitor who’s going to support the visitor industry. Go spend money at a business, a restaurant,” said Ua Aloha Maji, a native Hawaiian and kāhu knowledge keeper who lives in an area of Lahaina untouched by the wildfire.

Maji led our small group into the lush Olowalu valley for a morning volunteer experience at the 75-acre nonprofit Kipuka Olowalu as part of Mālama Maui (caring for Maui). We helped tend a patch of taro, traditional Hawaiian food plants.

By volunteering we were supporting the community and making a cultural connection. Maji told us traditional stories while we worked, and there was plenty of laughter. It was far more fun than a hotel gym workout.

We got our reward with lunch of a legendary tuna sandwich at Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop in Olowalu village. Quick-seared ahi tuna came topped with pesto and aioli on homemade rye bread. And, of course, there was pie. The silken banana cream pie topped with fresh whipped cream was fantastic.

To see another part of Maui, we took a private day tour with guide Lance Phelps of Unique Maui Tours to the wettest side of the island. We travelled through Maui’s Upcountry region, passing alongside farmland and through small, historic towns. It’s a lush Eden of steep mountains, vibrant greenery and exotic flowers. I loved the Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) town of Makawao, as well as our stop at Ho’okipa Beach. It’s as famous for the dozens of basking sea turtles on the sand as the fearless wind and kite surfers who come from all over to power

over the waves.

The´Iao Needle is a remarkable place. A paved walkway leads up to a dramatic forested spire that punches up 365 metres from the valley floor. Scenes for the movie Jurassic Park were shot here.

“The road we are on is the fastest road to 10,000 feet in the world,” Phelps told us, as our van climbed through wispy fog.

Many travellers continue along this road as it follows a twisting route to the isolated town of Hana on the far west end of Maui. Our destination was inland, more than 10,000 feet up in the centre of Maui and the sacred landscape of the dormant volcano called Haleakalā, which means “house of the sun.”

We arrived to watch the sun go down, with time to walk around the lava fields above the creamy white clouds and admire the dramatic volcano crater in the distance. The Hawaiian silversword plant, which grows nowhere else on earth, seemed to glow in the lowering sun.

Phelps set up camp chairs for us to watch the sunset. He passed out meals from a small shop near his home in Kihei. This was dinner and a show like nothing I’d ever experienced.

Hawaiian legend says the demigod Maui lassoed the sun from this lofty place to slow its descent and make the days last longer.

The temperature dropped and the sea of clouds turned fiery red and orange as the sun began to slide out of view. The crowd around us was silent, struck by the beauty of the phenomenon in a place at once fragile and powerful. I quietly thanked Maui for this gift.

TJ grew up spending his summers at his cottage on Lake Muskoka, nurturing his love for the outdoors. With over half his life in real estate photography, including five years on the California coast, he knew Muskoka was home. Raised with a successful broker father, real estate is in T.J.'s blood, but his passion lies in artistry. T.J. is excited to bring his vision and expertise to the Cayman Marshall team.

Sarah was born and raised just North of Muskoka. She enjoys the outdoors on the lakes of Muskoka and islands of Georgian Bay. Sarah is passionate about travel. She has just returned home from Turks and Caicos Islands where she worked in Private International Banking. With over thirteen years of experience in customer relationship building, she is an excellent addition to the Cayman Marshall Team.
