Club Round-up

CLUB ROUND-UP Ladies’ First Team The team play a 11-a-side tournament at Tingley on Sunday 16th August and a pre-season home game against Silsden on Sunday 23rd August. Their first competitive game is in the cup against Sheffield United on Sunday 30th August and the league season starts with an away fixture against Farsley on Sunday 6th September.

Junior Teams The U16 1st team squad decided to have two teams this season, one in the Harrogate & District league as we are, and one in the Garforth League for a bigger challenge and to test the boys. Ian Wade helped get funding from West Riding in the form of a grant for £1500 over two years to help set up an under 10 girls team. Amanda Ford has gone strength to strength with getting interested players which has resulted in two U10 girls teams. We will have the following teams next for this season: - U8 Boys who are entering in the Harrogate & Wharfedale Junior friendly league. U10 Girls x 2 new teams entering in the Harrogate & District junior girls league. U12 Boys new team entering in Division 2 in the Harrogate & District junior boys league. U13 Boys x 3-One team in the Harrogate & District junior boys league Division 1 and a team in Division 2 and a 3rd team in the local Martin House friendly league. U15 New team and manager is Steve Davey (Hugger) who is a former Railway legend. U16 New team in the stronger Garforth League Division 1. U16 x 3 teams, two in Division 1 and one in Division 2. U18 girls team in the Harrogate & District junior girls league.

Sherwood Sherwood’s league season kicks off on 7th September. The club are always on the lookout for great players, so if you fancy trying out for the team - please get in touch!
