The Harrogate Railway Team

Lee Ashforth has a wealth of Non-league experience in and around these levels offootball and played at Station View for three seasons before moving on. A popular choice he arrived at Liversedge with Billy in 2010/11 and in 2011/12 stepped up to become Billy’s right hand man. His playing experience alongside his calm approach made him the ideal candidate for his role. Summer 2015 sees Lee take on his biggest challenge yet as he succeeds Billy Miller as manager of Harrogate Railway, leading Railway for the 2015/16 season.

Simon Wood is an experienced playerwho can play across the back four and is now involved on the management of the reserves. He has played 500+ games at Evostick level and although starting the season injured will be hopeful of a successful season.

Steve Grime joins Lee’s management team as Head of Development. A full time UEFA B level coach working at IAFE, Steve has previous coaching experience at Man City and Leeds. Steve will incorporate first team responsibilities alongside his IAFE work and will create links between all age groups and the first team.

Alex Farrell graduated from Manchest Metropolitan University with a B.Sc. Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. He has played for Harrogate Railway AFC at junior level. Alex joins Railway as the first team physio.

Daniel Barrett Daniel is a former Tadcaster Albion centre forward who has joined Railway and is looking to step up a level, Daniel is a quick centre forward who scores goals.

James Beeston Beeston has signed from Glasshoughton over the summer and is an attacking right back. Looking to make the step up from the counties James has improved his fitness and is looking to cement his place in the team

Steve Bromley Another player who has spent large amounts of time on the fringes of the first team, Steve will be looking to start more games this season and scoring goals has never been a problem for him.

Harry Brown IAFE youngster Brown has impressed through pre-season, his attitude is superb and although he has a slight build, he is strong on the ball, Brown is definitely a player for the future.

Charlie Clamp Ex Leeds United youngster who stopped playing when we was released, Charlie was an exciting prospect and is now returning to the game and is an assured Midfielder who rarely loses possession.

Vince Dhesi Centre Forward who came to the club late in the season, he is a clever thinking player and is now finding his feet at Evostick level. He has the potential to be an influential player of the squad.

Roy Fogarty Ex Bradford City centre forward who has scored goals at all levels that he has played. He is now back enjoying his football and will be looking to have a good season in his first year with the club.

Tom Goodwin Young stopper Tom is now entering the second year of a contract with the club and is proving to be an outstanding prospect. Tom is a the BFG of the club and last season won points by himself with some outstanding performances.

Laurence Hunter Entering his third season with the club, Loz is now a senior player of the squad. He delivers a very good set piece and is clever in his all round play. After playing for clubs in and around the Evostick, he has now settled down and was influential last season. Fatlum Ibrihimi Kosovan centre midfield player who over the past two seasons has cemented his place in the first team squad, exciting prospect who has the potential to go far in the game. His work rate is superb and he chips in with the odd goal.

Greg Kidd Ex Oldham Athletic youngster who now moves into his fourth season at Railway. Greg can play anywhere on the left and has been used in midfield.

Alex Low came to Station View three seasons ago but when he failed to get into the first team he went to North East Counties football to gain experience, Alex has now returned and is looking to cement his place in the team.

Cameron Lyn Ex-Sheffield United youngster who is comfortably playing wide or as a forward, blessed with pace and skill Lyn will be an exiting new addition to this seasons squad

Jack Mccarthey Jack received the player of the year award at Garforth Town last season and has now made the step up to the Evostick, after interest from Salford, Northwich and Matlock, Jack has opted for Station View and the youngster will have a bright future if his development continues.

Mike Morris After suffering a broken leg against Farsley on New Years Day, Mike is now on the road to recovery and is hopeful to be back playing full time soon. Although he is based in London in the Army, Mike will be available for the majority of the season.

Jason Mycoe Now entering his second season with the club, Jason played a huge part of the squad last season, he can play anywhere in defence or midfield and is a vastly important member of the squad

Jordan Outerbridge Ex York City full back has signed in the summer as a left back/Left midfield, Jordan came through a trail day and has now made it in the first team squad as well as playing for the IAFE section.

Simon Parkes Simon is finally on the road to recovery after an 18 month lay off after injuring his Knee in an FA Cup tie at South Shields, Simon is a versatile player and is well liked around the changing room

Ryan Sharrocks IAFE product Sharrocks has great pace and can play wide or as a forward, Ryan played last season for the Reserves and although never breaking into the first team he is hopeful that he can now play regular first team football.

Ollie Smith Ex York City and Tadcaster centre forward who has signed for Railway late in pre-season. A tall centre forward who is strong with the ball. Ollie is now looking to make the step into the first team.

Jack Stockdill Signed from Guiseley during the summer, Jack is a midfielder with an eye for goal. His work rate and tackling is strong and he is one of the vocal members of the squad.

Daniel Thirkell Daniel enters his eleventh season with the club and is now Club Captain. He can play in numerous positions and is well respected throughout the changing room. Daniel has a heart on your sleeve attitude that others like to follow.
