FOUNDERS BANQUET

I AM HONORED. Throughout my life the Brothers of the Sacred Heart have influenced me and communicated God’s love. I am truly blessed to have attended Catholic High and to have had the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful people.

It was a beautiful evening on the campus of CHS as nearly three-hundred guests gathered to celebrate an evening of gratitude and appreciation with the induction of David T. Butler ’77 and Dale K. Weiner into the Catholic High School Hall of Fame on Thursday, December 2, 2021. For the first time, the annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Founders Banquet was hosted in the new Brother Donnan Berry, S.C. Student Center. In addition to honoring this year’s inductees, the evening also honored those individual volunteer leaders, perpetual founders, first-time founders, and young founders who have given their time, talent, and investment to support Catholic High School during the 2020-2021 school year.

Guests were greeted with the beautiful Christmas caroling and opening prayer from the CHS and SJA Chamber Singers, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner provided by Turning Point Catering. With Director of Advancement J.P. Kelly ’92 leading as the evening’s emcee, Gene Tullier, president, opened with a President’s Welcome and Principal Lisa Harvey recapped a successful year with her State of the School’s address praising the dedication and sacrifice of the CHS faculty and staff during a challenging school year. Mr. Tullier later returned to the podium to conduct the Hall of Fame portion of the evening’s celebration. Presentations showcased both individual honorees, with each coming up to receive their golden bear Hall of Fame award while delivering their heartfelt remarks expressing their appreciation and love for Catholic High School.

To end the evening, the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in attendance concluded by singing their anthem, Anime de l ’amour, a Founders Banquet tradition.
