1. The CHS community, in conjuction with a donation given by Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, donated $34,288 to Vandebilt Catholic High School in Houma, Louisiana to help with rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Ida. 2. CHS Basketball players spend time serving food and providing other essential items to community members in need. 3. Students volunteer to help gather citrus to distribute through the Baton Rouge Food Bank. 4. CHS lacrosse players help a local family in need by building and moving furniture into their new home. 5. CHS wrestlers help construct a wheelchair ramp for local elderly resident. 6. Members of the National Honor Society host annual Christmas Toy Drive. 7. Students help raise over $2,000 to donate to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 8. Baseball players volunteer with the Miracle League, an organization that gives children of all abilities the chance to play baseball. 9. Students and faculty members volunteer with the Habitat for Humanity build for the Matthews Family. 10. Baseball players help serve linemen from across the country as they work to restore power after Hurricane Ida. 11. CHS National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Junior Classical League, and French Club members come together to volunteer at the Cajun Navy for a community workday. 12. CHS National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Junior Classical League, and French Club members write Christmas cards to U.S. troops deployed overseas.
