Valerie Pensworth Valerie Pensworth grew up in the suburbs just outside Atlanta, Ga. She attended Georgia State University where she pursued Psychology. The complexities of people and how they form identity always intrigued her, but something in that field lacked her complete attention. She was often found making collages with found objects which caught the eye of some friends who told her to pursue art.
