TO: All Employees FROM: Tim Koran, Administrator RE: Education DATE: August 28, 2020 Our Professional Boundary policy has been updated and we want you to read, acknowledge and sign the new policy. The changes are as follows: No staff must take any type of gifts to a client’s home: no flowers, no food, no alcohol, no illicit drugs, no money, no clothing and / or, no household items. No staff at anytime must engage in any verbalization, gestures or action suggestive of paying compliments to any client. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary measures or termination of employment. No staff can engage in any verbal altercation. You must excuse yourself from the client, leave the house or apartment and immediately call the office. Secondly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CareMate Home Health Care, Inc. is taking precautions to stop the spread of the virus. Below are reminders to ensure that the virus is stopped from spreading: • Try to keep 6 feet distance from each other. • Wash hands frequently-use soap and warm water and scrub for at least 20 seconds. • Avoid touching mouth, eyes, nose. • Cover your cough and sneezes • Stay home if you are sick and contact your clinic and supervisor. • Ensure you have adequate personal protective equipment available at our office • Keep updated by visiting our CareMate Home Health Care, Inc. website. On our site we have the links to both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) We are all in this together!!! Let us “stay focused” and keep our peers, family and community as healthy as we can possibly can. CareMate Home Health Care, Inc. requires all employees to complete the Employee Screening for Coronavirus (COVID-19) before each shift they are scheduled to work. This screening form is available on-line and it is on the top of our website under COVID-19 Screening and Education. If you do not have access to a computer or smart phone, then call the office and we will complete the form over the phone with you. Employees should check their temperature before each shift. If you do not have a thermometer, we have a no touch thermometer available in our office. As an essential health care employee, if you have signs and symptoms of COVID-19, please call CareMate Home Health Care, Inc immediately and then call your healthcare provider for further instructions. Please update us on your status and your healthcare provider advice. Also call the office immediately if any of your client(s) exhibit any of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and instruct them them to call their primary health clinic and update us with the
