The Society of Agriculture Students (SAS) and the Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) BuriasChapterconductedaone-day training on the formulation and application of organic concoctions on Dec. 9 at the Castro Hall of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF)Department.
To provide the studentparticipants with knowledge and understanding of where organic concoctionscomefromandhowcan they be effectively utilized, Prof. Ramonita C. Verano, Mushroom Center In-Charge/CAF Research Coordinator,servedastheresource speaker for the aforementioned training.

Student orgs extend assistance thru community outreach program

As part of the efforts to fortify ties to the community and develop interpersonal connections, aswellastoaddresspressingsocial and economic concerns, the Supreme Student Council (SSC), in collaboration with the Financial ManagementCouncil(FMC),Junior Association of Marketing Management Students (JAMMS), and Rumbuhan Teen Center, organized an outreach program at Brgy. Manibad, Mambusao, Capiz onDec.23.
The activity, highlighting mental health awareness, was accomplished through a mental healt health awareness, was accomplishedthroughafundraising eventpreviouslyorganizedbythe aforementioned student organizationsintheCampus.
"With those trials coming into our lives, there we can see how strongwearetobeconfidenttofight thosetrialsinlifeandtoseethatyou are a child of God," Sister Emma CristiaMayor,theresource speaker during the program, stated as she discussed the mental health issues facedbytoday’syouth.

"Every time there's a counseling session in our school, I advise my fellow students not to hesitatetoapproachandopenupto our faculty and staff. Also, the students are encouraged to seek assistance or advice from their friends and family," Angelica Ann Ramos, SSC President, commented in relation to ways on how to address various mental health issues.
