The Department of Agriculture (DA) through the Bureau of Soils and Water Management turned over one unit of Technology Package on Composting Facility for Biodegradable Wastes (CFBW) to Capiz State University (CAPSU) on Dec.12.

Theendeavorisinsupportof the promotion and development of organic agriculture in the Philippines and at the same time, beneficial in eliminating waste materialsbytransformingtheminto organic fertilizer and other products.

Engr. Analyn Frias, an alumna from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DABE) of CAPSU Burias and the current Assistant Division Chief - Project Development Support Division of the Department of Agriculture, initiated the proper turning over of the composting facility and was likewise made possible through the efforts of Dr. Efren L. Linan, Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension, and Dr. Editha C. Alfon, University President.
